Vonage adds email to Messages API, joining SMS, MMS, RCS and WhatsApp

Vonage, part of Ericsson, has added an Email API to its Messages API, putting email alongside SMS, MMS, RCS, and WhatsApp on one platform. The company announced the launch on October 27, 2026. Businesses can build, send, and track transactional emails such as alerts, one-time passwords, and order confirmations. Existing Messages API customers can switch on email immediately, using the same architecture and dashboard. Channels can be bundled in a single API call. A message can go by SMS first, then fall back to RCS or email. Vonage cites figures that email reaches 4.6 billion people and returns an average $36 for every $1 spent. Pricing is pay-per-send, with costs falling as volume grows.

Vonage wins gold at Merit Awards for Technology. Vonage Identity Insights API earns top recognition for delivering real-time network intelligence that protects enterprises against fraud at scale Published on 10/22/2026 at 08:31 am EDT Business Wire Vonage, part of Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC), has been named a gold winner at the Merit Awards for Technology for its Vonage Identity Insights API, a solution that puts real-time mobile network intelligence directly in the hands of enterprises to help stop fraud before it starts. The award recognizes Vonage's leadership in transforming how businesses approach digital trust. As fraud grows in both scale and sophistication, with global cybercrime losses exceeding $10 trillion in 2025[1], Vonage Identity Insights offers enterprises a fundamentally different approach: harnessing carrier-grade signals sourced directly from the network to detect threats in real time, with no friction added to the customer experience. At the core of the solution are trust signals including SIM Swap detection, which flags when a SIM card has recently changed, a common precursor to account takeover fraud, and Subscriber Match, which cross-references user-supplied attributes against mobile operator KYC records to verify identity in real time. Together, these capabilities enable enterprises to block synthetic identities, streamline onboarding, and strengthen compliance, while improving the customer journey. The Vonage Identity Insights API is available as part of the broader Vonage Protection Suite, a comprehensive set of tools and APIs, including Fraud Defender and the Verify API with Silent Authentication, that enterprises can deploy individually or in combination to address a wide range of security use cases. "Identity fraud isn't a future threat, it's the challenge enterprises are navigating today, at massive scale," said Kunal Shukla, Head of Solution Area, Network Powered Solutions at Vonage. "What makes Vonage Identity Insights different is that it turns the network itself into a trust layer. By exposing carrier-grade intelligence through a single, developer-friendly API, we're giving enterprises the tools to stop fraud at the source, without adding steps that slow down the customer. This gold recognition reflects what our customers are already experiencing: real protection designed to block threats without slowing down genuine customers." "In an era where identity fraud and security threats are rapidly evolving, Vonage stood out for delivering a solution that pairs robust protection with seamless execution," said Marie Zander, Executive Director of the Merit Awards. "Its gold-winning entry demonstrated the exact kind of measurable impact and technical rigor our judges were looking for in the cybersecurity category." Established in 2022, the Merit Awards for Technology recognizes organizations delivering exceptional innovation and measurable impact across the technology landscape. Winners are selected by a panel of leading journalists, consultants, executives, entrepreneurs, and educators. | 1 | Cybercrime Statistics 2025: Costs, Attacks, and Global Impact. Deep Strike. LogiSense ranks among top five for billing Solution Strength and Volume in MGI Research's 2026 Buyer's Guide.

LogiSense ranks among top five for billing Solution Strength and Volume in MGI Research's 2026 Buyer's Guide. Oct 21, 2026, 20:51 ET A grade and Positive Analyst Outlook underscore LogiSense's capabilities in complex, high-volume usage and hybrid monetization KITCHENER, ON, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - LogiSense, a provider of enterprise billing and monetization software, today announced that MGI Research's 2026 Agile Billing Top 50 Buyer's Guide places the company among the top five for Solution Strength and Billing Volume in its MarketLens(TM) analyses. LogiSense also earned an A grade and Positive Analyst Outlook in its individual MGI 360 Ratings(TM) assessment. MGI's Solution Strength measure reflects its product score, while Billing Volume assesses a solution's ability to handle billing workloads at scale. The assessment describes LogiSense as a mature solution for organizations with complex usage-based billing, mediation, rating and charging requirements. It also highlights customer satisfaction with both the team and product, citing flexibility and scalability as key strengths. "Offering a new pricing model is one thing. Being able to bill accurately as customer agreements and usage volumes grow is another," said Adam Howatson, CEO of LogiSense. "Businesses need the freedom to combine subscriptions, usage and new AI-driven offerings without creating a separate billing process for each one. Our focus is helping them innovate commercially while keeping what they sell, what customers use and what they charge aligned." Enterprise scale matters as business models evolve MGI finds that AI is introducing new usage metrics and commercial models, from token-based charges to credits and outcome-based pricing. The report emphasizes that usage pricing will augment, rather than replace, subscriptions and traditional models. Businesses need the flexibility to combine and evolve these approaches as products, customers and markets change. The report also finds that basic usage-billing functionality is no longer enough. Buyers are placing greater emphasis on event scalability, pricing flexibility, governance and financial controls, and on whether a platform can support usage billing reliably and predictably at enterprise scale. Commercial flexibility without billing silos LogiSense ingests and normalizes usage data, applies customer-specific rating rules, and calculates charges across subscription, usage-based, prepaid, postpaid, tiered and hybrid models. Its platform is designed to help businesses launch and evolve commercial offerings without creating additional billing silos or forcing complex consumption into systems designed primarily for traditional subscriptions. Organizations including Cisco, Garmin, Five9, 8x8 and Vonage use LogiSense to support their billing and monetization operations. About the research MGI Research's Agile Billing Top 50 Buyer's Guide, published July 21, 2026, evaluates 50 providers, including 34 with full MGI 360 Ratings(TM) assessments. About LogiSense LogiSense helps enterprises turn complex consumption into revenue. Its billing and monetization platform combines usage data mediation, flexible rating and customer-specific pricing to support subscription, usage-based and hybrid business models. LogiSense serves organizations across software, communications, IoT and other usage-driven industries. SOURCE LogiSense Corporation

Ericsson stock firms as Vonage and Saab deals draw traders.

Ericsson stock firms as Vonage and Saab deals draw traders. TIM BOHEN - UPDATED OCT. 15, 2026, 7:48 AM ET Summarize this article Ericsson stocks have been trading up by 11.9 percent following upbeat news of a major new 5G infrastructure contract. Key takeaways. * Vonage's Branded Calling tech is being plugged into Epic's Hello World platform to let healthcare providers show verified identity, logos, and call reasons on patient phones. * The Branded Calling rollout targets higher answer rates, fewer no-shows, and stronger engagement, deepening Ericsson's push into healthcare communications. * Ericsson signed a memorandum of understanding with Saab to explore combining terrestrial and space-based communications for defense, security, and resilience. * ADRs of ERIC have recently logged roughly 1.3%-1.6% gains on select days, standing out among continental European names in US trading. * ERIC will post its Q3 2026 report on 2026/10/15, followed by a webcast with its CEO and CFO. Live Update At 07:47:30 EDT: On Thursday, October 15, 2026 Ericsson stock [NASDAQ: ERIC] is trending up by 11.9%! Discover the key drivers behind this movement as well as its expert analysis in the detailed breakdown below. Quick financial overview. ERIC has been grinding higher after a sharp pullback. From 2026/09/21 around $10.25, Ericsson slipped into the low $9s, then stabilized and bounced, closing at $9.71 on 2026/10/13 and $9.58 on 2026/10/14. That tells traders the recent trend is still fragile, but dip buyers are active near $9.20-$9.30 support. Intraday, ERIC's 5-minute chart shows tight action between roughly $10.50 and $10.78, with no wild spikes. That kind of controlled range often signals accumulation rather than panic. For short-term trading, it gives clear levels: breakout watchers will eye pushes above $10.80, while risk managers focus on support around $10.50. On the fundamentals side, Ericsson posts about $236.7B in annual revenue and trades at a price-to-earnings ratio near 10.9 and a price-to-sales around 1.3. For a global telecom equipment and cloud communications player, those are value-style numbers, not hype. A 3.3% dividend yield, backed by solid cash and working capital, adds another anchor that can attract income-oriented traders who still care about chart setups. Why traders are watching ERIC now. ERIC is on radar this week because the story is shifting from just 5G hardware to higher-margin, stickier software and services. The headline move is at Vonage, Ericsson's cloud communications arm. Vonage is integrating its Branded Calling technology, built on the Vonage Voice API, into Epic's Hello World voice platform. That is not a flashy meme headline, but for serious traders, it matters. Epic runs one of the most widely used electronic health record systems in the US. When Epic taps ERIC's Vonage unit so hospitals and clinics can display verified names, logos, and call reasons on patient phones, that's deep integration into a critical healthcare workflow. Fewer missed appointments and better engagement mean real operational value for customers. That's how Ericsson locks in recurring usage, not just one-off licenses. For ERIC traders, this is a classic "follow the pipes" story. Every time a healthcare provider makes or receives a call through Epic's Hello World with Branded Calling, Ericsson's platform sits in the middle. That usage can scale quietly in the background. At the same time, ERIC signed a memorandum of understanding with Saab to explore integrated terrestrial and space-based communications for defense, security, and societal resilience. It's early-stage - an MoU, not a signed multi-year contract - but it plants Ericsson's flag in the growing defense and space communications arena. That diversifies the story beyond macro-sensitive mobile networks. The market reaction has been mixed in the very short term. ERIC was down more than 2% premarket on the Saab news day, reminding traders that strategic headlines do not always override broader sector or macro flows. Yet Ericsson's ADRs later posted 1.3%-1.6% gains on select sessions and ranked among the top European names in US trading. So momentum is quietly turning, even while telecom equipment sits on the weaker side of the S&P Europe Select ADR Index. Conclusion. ERIC now sits at an interesting crossroads: the chart shows a cautious base, while the news tape flashes signs of a slow pivot toward higher-value businesses. The Vonage Branded Calling integration into Epic's Hello World platform tells traders that Ericsson is monetizing its acquisition by embedding itself deep into healthcare communications. The Saab MoU adds optionality in defense and space-based networking, a space where budgets tend to be sticky and long term. Financially, ERIC's combination of a sub-11 P/E, around 1.3 times sales, and a roughly 3.3% dividend yield gives traders a defined value backdrop. The balance sheet data - strong cash, meaningful working capital, and manageable long-term debt - supports the idea that Ericsson can keep funding R&D, partnerships, and selective deals like Vonage without reckless leverage. The next hard catalyst is the Q3 2026 report on 2026/10/15, plus the CEO/CFO webcast. Traders in ERIC will be zeroed in on any color around Vonage traction, healthcare wins with Epic, and the roadmap for the Saab partnership. As Tim Sykes likes to say, "Patterns repeat, but only for traders who study them." That dovetails with the way many short-term and swing traders approach ERIC's chart: they understand that, as Tim Bohen, lead trainer with StocksToTrade says, "There's a pattern in everything; you just have to stick around long enough to see it." For ERIC, that means watching how the stock has reacted to past earnings, mapping those moves against the current consolidation, and coming in with a plan - tight risk, clear levels, and zero hesitation to cut losses if the pattern breaks.
