Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are required.
  • Stamina and endurance to walk or stand for long periods are required.
  • Strength to lift and move patients and equipment, often involving weights up to 50 pounds or more, is required.
  • Good hand-eye coordination for operating transport equipment and assisting patients is required.
  • Flexibility to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as necessary is required.
  • Balance and coordination to maintain stability while moving patients and navigating hospital corridors are required.
Responsibilities
  • Safely and promptly transport patients to and from the operating room while ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Communicate patient care needs or situations effectively to clinical staff.
  • Ensure all transport equipment is functional, clean, and ready for use.
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Assist in moving and positioning patients as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous medical background experience is preferred.
  • Nursing Assistant Level I certification is preferred.
