Experience integrating IBM BAW solutions with enterprise applications using REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, JMS/MQ messaging, databases, and stored procedures.
Experience supporting requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, technical documentation, and production support activities.
Strong programming experience with Java/J2EE, JavaScript, SQL, and enterprise database platforms including SQL Server and DB2.

Serve in project team roles such as project lead, business systems analyst, or technical lead for small to medium efforts, or manage phases of medium to large efforts.
Maintain the technical skill set for software languages, databases, platforms, operating systems, utilities, and networks needed to support work assignments.

We are hiring a BAW Software Engineer at BCBST!
In this role, you will help design, build, implement, and support a new platform that will replace a critical legacy system supporting an insurance line of business. You'll work closely with an external implementation partner and cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise workflow solutions that drive business operations for a significant portion of our membership. As the team expands its capabilities beyond its traditional technology stack, you'll play a key role in workflow modernization efforts, helping shape technical solutions, develop enterprise integrations, support production environments, and contribute to building long-term expertise in workflow technologies across the organization.
To be successful in this role, in addition to the core job requirements, you'll bring hands-on experience developing and supporting enterprise workflow applications using IBM BAW/BPM, strong technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technology teams. You will be a strong candidate for this role if you have experience designing workflow components and reusable solutions, integrating enterprise applications through APIs and messaging technologies, working throughout the full software development lifecycle, and supporting complex production environments. Strong experience with Java/J2EE, JavaScript, SQL, Agile delivery methodologies, and enterprise workflow modernization initiatives is highly valued.
Strong candidates will have:
IBM BAW Workflow Development: 3+ years of hands-on experience developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise workflow applications using IBM BPM 8.x and/or IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) 24.x or 26.x.
