About the Job

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of product design (UI/UX) experience shipping complex, data-dense software tools, web platforms, and operational systems.
  • A proven track record designing data-intensive workflows, such as analytics platforms, scientific or modeling tools, enterprise workflow engines, or developer platforms, with demonstrable user and business impact.
  • Demonstrated experience designing AI/ML-driven features and systems, including probability, confidence scores, recommendations, and conversational or agentic interfaces.
  • Hands-on experience integrating AI into design workflows to accelerate user research synthesis, rapid prototyping, and production-ready handoffs.
  • Fluency with front-end architectures and component libraries, and experience collaborating deeply with engineering teams, including familiarity with Git workflows and opening or reviewing pull requests.
  • Mastery of modern design and prototyping tools, and ability to rapidly test ideas using AI-assisted tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end design across diverse product surfaces, including carbon and material lifecycle modeling systems, vendor-facing manufacturing design systems, and generative AI productivity tools.
  • Architect information hierarchies and workflows that make dense technical and operational data easy to discover, query, and interpret, improving user speed and accuracy.
  • Reimagine established, mission-critical systems as intelligent, AI-augmented experiences that empower existing power users without disrupting operational rigor.
  • Formulate interaction patterns for AI and machine learning tools, establishing trust, transparency, graceful failure states, and human-in-the-loop oversight.
  • Partner directly with specialized internal and external users, including engineers, operations leads, data scientists, and vendors, to uncover their needs.
  • Partner with software engineers in repositories and sprints, translating interaction patterns into implementation, maintaining system consistency, and contributing code or pull requests when needed.
  • Use modern AI-assisted tools and rapid prototyping methods to accelerate work from user research and concept exploration to deployed software.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience leading migration or modernization of legacy, pre-AI software suites into next-generation intelligent platforms.
  • Experience building, scaling, and documenting design systems used across multiple teams or external vendor ecosystems.
  • Prior exposure to supply chain, manufacturing, or environmental and sustainability modeling, such as carbon accounting, life-cycle assessment, or materials science; eagerness to learn these technical domains is essential.
  • Ability to explore raw datasets and validate user pain points independently, and/or strong brand and visual craft, including designing a distinctive tool icon or team identity mark.
