Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least two years of progressively responsible clerical experience are required, including receptionist duties and scheduling responsibilities.
  • Strong computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic registration and medical record systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills are required.
  • The ability to multitask effectively is required.
  • The ability to present information clearly in one-on-one settings and small group situations is required.
Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously, explain clinic procedures, answer routine questions, and facilitate adherence to the appointment schedule.
  • Accurately schedule, cancel, and confirm patient appointments according to department criteria.
  • Register patients completely and accurately.
  • Answer phone calls, take accurate messages, and refer callers or messages to the appropriate party.
  • Assist with billing procedures and forms, and assist in preparing documents and forms sent to or received from referring physician offices.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Associate degree is preferred.
  • Experience in a medical office setting, including some billing experience, is preferred.
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish, Portuguese, or French are preferred.
