About the Job

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in business strategy, business operations, strategic planning, management consulting, corporate development, or a related field; experience in a high-growth or matrixed environment is ideal.
  • Experience directly advising senior executives and supporting complex, high-stakes business decisions.
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of complex, sometimes messy information into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Strong business judgment and an understanding of how strategy, operations, financial performance, and execution connect.
  • Experience designing or improving executive operating rhythms, planning processes, or performance management systems.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and complexity, develop a clear point of view, challenge constructively, and establish structure and sequence.
  • Executive-level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to reach decisions with vice presidents.
  • Genuine curiosity about small businesses and how QuickBooks can make their lives easier.

Responsibilities

  • Shape QuickBooks' strategy, including its direction as small businesses' trusted financial intelligence layer and its efforts to develop AI-native, done-for-you experiences; translate the strategy into analysis, recommendations, and decision options for senior leadership and CEO-level business reviews.
  • Lead high-impact growth or improvement work streams spanning segments, teams, functions, or the broader company, remove blockers, and drive the work from framing through completion.
  • Build an AI-native operating system for understanding and monitoring the business, including performance, product engagement, customer feedback, and execution status; synthesize findings into narratives for business reviews, leadership forums, and executive updates.
  • Identify, champion, and operationalize high-impact growth initiatives across areas such as the core QuickBooks experience and accountant ecosystem, facilitating strategic deep dives and high-stakes decisions.
  • Simplify complex and ambiguous issues into a clear point of view, sequence decisions, and focus teams on the most important priorities.
  • Advise senior leadership on important decisions, using judgment about when to challenge and when to listen.
  • Lead complex cross-functional initiatives from an ambiguous problem through a shipped outcome across Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Customer Success & Delivery.
  • Personally produce analysis and recommendations when work is too sensitive, ambiguous, or strategically important to delegate.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in FinTech, SaaS, or small business software.
