Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related field is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex laboratory testing in accordance with standard operating procedures and departmental standards.
  • Thoroughly process, analyze, and report results, including timely communication of critical values within 15 minutes and prioritization of STAT specimens.
  • Conduct and document quality control procedures; identify, troubleshoot, and resolve deviations or equipment issues.
  • Perform scheduled equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting; log all actions according to standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare, maintain, and monitor reagent and supply inventory; ensure proper storage and prevent workflow interruptions.
  • Participate in teaching and training programs for students and staff as needed.
  • Maintain productivity standards while adhering to hospital compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current with federal, state, and institutional regulations and perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • ASCP certification or equivalent.
