Eltropy launches Branded Texting to help credit union members tell real Texts from scams.

Eltropy launches Branded Texting to help credit union members tell real Texts from scams. 2 hours ago Purpose-built for Credit Unions and Community Banks, Branded Texting upgrades everyday Texts with carrier-verified identity, rich media and interactive actions SANTA CLARA, Calif. - October 14, 2026 - Eltropy, the agentic AI platform for credit unions and community banks, announces the launch of Branded Texting, which brings verified identity and richer, interactive messaging to financial institutions. Built on Rich Communication Services (RCS), Branded Texting helps consumers recognize Texts from their trusted credit union or community bank through a carrier-verified business profile, while giving them simpler ways to respond and act. RCS is now supported on Apple iOS and Google Android devices across major U.S. carriers, expanding the reach of Branded Texting to nearly 9 in 10 phones in the United States. Text messaging is already part of everyday life. Americans exchanged nearly 2.2 trillion Texts in 2024, according to CTIA. For financial institutions, that familiar channel connects consumers with payment reminders, loan updates, appointments and timely support. Branded Texting builds on that foundation with verified business profiles, images, interactive cards, carousels and tap-to-act buttons. "The timing reflects a significant expansion in RCS availability. Juniper Research estimates that the share of mobile devices in North America able to receive RCS business messages rose from 40.3% in 2024 to 86.5% in 2025," said Dibyendu Roy, Senior Director, Products at Eltropy. "That broader reach creates an opportunity for credit unions and community banks to offer more capable digital interactions within the messaging apps consumers already use." "Texting works because it fits into people's lives. Branded Texting is a game changer because it builds on that familiarity with verified identity and a much richer experience," said Ashish Garg, Co-founder and CEO of Eltropy. "Credit unions and community banks ask consumers to verify their identity every day. Consumers deserve that assurance in return. A carrier-verified profile helps them recognize that a message is coming from their financial institution. Rich content and clear action buttons then make it easier to understand the message and take the next step - all in the messaging app they already use." Institutional identity backed by carrier verification The value of sender verification extends beyond brand recognition. Consumers reported losing $470 million to scams that began with Text messages in 2024, according to the Federal Trade Commission. Fake fraud alerts warning about suspicious purchases or problems with a financial account were among the frequently reported schemes. The financial impact also reaches institutions. Across fraud types and channels, LexisNexis Risk Solutions' 2025 True Cost of Fraud study found that every $1 of fraud loss cost U.S. financial services firms $5.75 in total. Eltropy manages a thorough carrier-verification process that establishes the financial institution's identity behind its displayed name, logo and business profile. This helps consumers distinguish messages from their trusted financial institution from impersonation attempts, complementing existing fraud prevention controls. Richer conversations, familiar workflows Rich media, interactive cards, carousels and action buttons upgrade the lending, payment, collections and service conversations institutions already manage through Eltropy. And the same messaging compliance requirements apply, supported by Eltropy's existing consent, opt-out and audit controls. Branded Texting remains connected to the institution's established service and authentication workflows, with automatic SMS fallback when RCS is unavailable. SMS fallback does not include the verified profile or interactive features. Availability Eltropy Branded Texting is generally available to credit unions and community banks. Existing customers can contact their Customer Success Manager or account representative for pricing and implementation details. To learn more, visit eltropy.com/branded-Texting. Activation requires completion of the applicable sender-verification and carrier-approval processes. Features and availability vary by device, messaging application, carrier and configuration. Eltropy launches carrier-verified Branded Texting to fight $470M text scam losses

Eltropy, an agentic AI platform for credit unions and community banks, has launched Branded Texting to help customers spot genuine messages from their financial institution. The product is available now. Built on Rich Communication Services (RCS), it shows a carrier-verified business profile with the institution's name and logo. It also adds images, interactive cards, and tap-to-act buttons. RCS works on Apple iOS and Google Android devices across major US carriers, reaching nearly 9 in 10 US phones. The Federal Trade Commission says consumers lost $470 million in 2024 to scams that began with text messages. Where RCS is unavailable, messages fall back to SMS without the verified profile or interactive features. Activation requires sender-verification and carrier approval.

Eltropy, IDgo and InTouch Credit Union to host webinar on moving Member Authentication past security questions.

Eltropy, IDgo and InTouch Credit Union to host webinar on moving Member Authentication past security questions. October 12, 2026, 12:30 GMT Oct. 20 session details how InTouch CU raised device-authenticated interactions from 2% to 24% and cut 60-90 seconds from each live call Credit unions want AI agents working for their members, and the first thing any of those agents needs to know is who it's talking to." - Abhishek Tiwari, Chief Product Officer, Eltropy SANTA CLARA, CA, UNITED STATES, October 12, 2026 / EINPresswire.com / - Eltropy, the leading agentic AI platform for credit unions and community banks, today announced it will host a webinar with IDgo and InTouch Credit Union on how credit unions can verify members faster, and with more confidence, across live-agent and AI-powered channels. "Modernizing Member Authentication: InTouch CU's Leap to Agentic Trust" takes place Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET. Registration is open here. Most credit union contact centers still verify callers with knowledge-based questions and one-time passcodes. Those checks have their place, but repeating them on every call slows service, frustrates members who have already proven who they are, and takes time staff could spend on the reason the member called. The issue grows more pressing as credit unions put AI agents in front of members, because an automated conversation can only go as far as the institution's confidence in who is on the other end. InTouch Credit Union, which serves more than 70,000 members across all 50 states, 20 countries and holds over $800 million in assets, addressed the problem by moving from knowledge-based questions to device-based authentication through Eltropy's integration with IDgo. Since deployment, InTouch has seen: - Monthly IDgo authentication volume grow 1,034% - The share of member interactions authenticated with IDgo rise from 2% to 24% - Successful authentication through Eltropy AI Voice Agent nearly double - Authentication time on live-agent calls drop by 60-90 seconds, freeing roughly 250 hours of employee capacity each month across 10,000 calls During the webinar, InTouch, IDgo and Eltropy leaders will walk through how the credit union made the shift, how staff and members adjusted, and how a trusted device relationship carries from a live call to an AI voice conversation without sending the member back through the same questions. They will also cover where InTouch plans to take the integration next, including more member interactions, service channels and high-trust transactions, followed by open Q&A. Speakers include: - Kristen Schmieg-Jester, SVP and Chief Digital Officer, InTouch Credit Union - Rocky Scales, Chief Executive Officer, IDgo - Abhishek Tiwari, Chief Product Officer, Eltropy "Authentication should establish trust, not become a barrier to service," said Schmieg-Jester. "Our partnership with IDgo and Eltropy has allowed us to modernize the way we verify identity while reducing friction for members and employees alike. By creating a persistent trust framework across both employee-assisted and AI-powered interactions, we can deliver faster, more personalized service while maintaining the security and confidence our members expect." Tiwari said the InTouch results speak to a question every credit union faces as it adopts agentic AI. "Credit unions want AI agents working for their members, and the first thing any of those agents needs to know is who it's talking to," said Tiwari. "InTouch settled that question at the device level and let the answer follow the member from a live call to an AI voice conversation and back. That gives a credit union the identity certainty and control it needs before it trusts an AI agent with anything that matters. Kristen and her team have real numbers to show for it, and other credit unions will get a lot out of hearing how they got there." "A member's phone can carry trust from one conversation to the next, so the credit union doesn't have to rebuild it from scratch every time," said Scales. "Once InTouch established that trusted device relationship, every interaction that followed, whether with a person or an AI agent, started on firmer ground. That is what lets agentic AI move quickly without cutting corners on security." The webinar is designed for credit union and community bank leaders in member experience, contact center, digital and risk roles. Attendees are encouraged to bring their questions for the panel.
