About the job
- Minimum of 3+ years of verifiable experience in the collision repair shop industry.
- Comply with manufacturer and dealer safety guidelines and standards.
- Have experience with Car-O-Liner frame measuring.
- Be able to perform repetitive hand movements, including grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
- Be able to frequently stand, bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders and stairs, and occasionally crawl, twist, and lie down.
- Be able to lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Have working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, and air-conditioning equipment.
- Be willing to submit to a background check, Department of Motor Vehicles screening, and drug screening.
- Diagnose and repair foreign and domestic vehicles to dealership specifications.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Meet productivity and efficiency targets.
- Meet cycle-time requirements for completed repairs.
- Maintain an organized and safe bay according to dealership, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and Environmental Protection Agency standards.
- Keep the personal work area, shop, and tools clean and safe.
- Learn new technical information and techniques through formal training classes to stay current with changing automotive technology.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves, safety glasses, a hard hat, and a respirator when handling hazardous products or working in hazardous environments.
- I-CAR and/or Automotive Service Excellence certification is preferred.
- Work effectively as part of a team while providing high-quality customer service.
