Atlassian acquires Secoda to expand 'System of Work' with AI-powered data insights

Atlassian has acquired Secoda, a data platform that makes insights accessible to non-technical teams, as part of its effort to build a complete "System of Work" through its Rovo product. Founded in 2021, Secoda helps companies make data findable and understandable for all employees, regardless of technical background. The platform answers thousands of complex questions for business teams daily, according to founder Etai Mizrahi, addressing queries that previously took analysts days to resolve. Secoda combines a complete overview of company data with AI capabilities for structured data, eliminating wait times for answers. The acquisition will serve as a building block for Atlassian's broader strategy to bridge the gap between data and decision-making through AI-powered tools. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
