Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • CIRI bought I2X on February 2, 2026, adding balance-sheet support and cross-sell reach.
  • The $243 million NRL contract extends five years and anchors technical demand.
  • Winning OASIS+ in January 2025 expands access to Intel, R&D, and engineering buyers.

What critics are saying

  • I2X depends heavily on federal buyers; one protest or recompete can crater revenue.
  • Integration under CIRI after February 2026 distracts leadership and muddies culture.
  • If Navy or NASA spending shifts, I2X loses its highest-value growth engine.

What makes ISYS Technologies unique

  • Founded in 1990, I2X combines classified and unclassified cyber with systems engineering.
  • The March 6, 2025 NRL award proves deep electronic-warfare credibility.
  • OSC Global gives I2X a larger platform across defense, intelligence, and civilian work.

Alaska Native corporation CIRI acquires IT firm I2X Technologies to expand $1B+ portfolio

Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI), an Alaska Native regional corporation, has acquired I2X Technologies, a provider of IT software, systems engineering and data management solutions to government and private-sector clients. Financial terms were not disclosed. I2X, founded in 1990 and headquartered in Littleton, Colorado, employs nearly 280 staff. The company will operate under OSC Global, CIRI's wholly owned IT and cybersecurity subsidiary formed in 2024. The acquisition expands CIRI's diverse business portfolio, which currently exceeds $1 billion in assets. CIRI, created under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act in 1972, has nearly 10,000 shareholders. CEO Swami Iyer said the purchase strengthens the company's portfolio and positions it for long-term growth.
