About the Job

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Expertise with front-end tools, including Verilog simulators, linters, and clock-domain crossing checkers.
  • Experience with synthesis, static timing analysis, and design-for-test.
  • Experience with SystemVerilog assertions, checkers, and advanced verification techniques.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Perl and Python.
  • Experience with formal verification and low-power design methodologies.
  • Experience with hardware-software co-design and system-level optimization.
  • Hands-on digital signal processing experience, including signal processing concepts, RTL algorithm implementation, and hardware optimization techniques such as pipelining, parallelization, and resource sharing.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency using generative AI tools for SystemVerilog design, validation, and optimization, and understanding their capabilities and limitations in hardware design.

Responsibilities

  • Specify and/or micro-architect digital and signal processing blocks in sophisticated mixed-signal circuits.
  • Write RTL for blocks specified by the employee or others, including implementing digital signal processing algorithms.
  • Write meaningful assertions, debug code, and participate in design verification and bring-up of the blocks in collaboration with the design verification team.
  • Support lab bring-up by potentially writing test scripts, analyzing lab data, proposing experiments, and validating signal processing performance.
  • Develop and optimize RTL code in Verilog and SystemVerilog for mixed-signal digital blocks and signal processing pipelines.
  • Collaborate with algorithm engineers to translate digital signal processing concepts, including filtering, transforms, modulation, and signal analysis, into efficient, high-performance RTL implementations.
  • Write comprehensive assertions and unit-level testbenches, and participate in functional verification using industry-standard methodologies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate complex IPs, validate performance in silicon, and support lab characterization.
  • Work with analog designers, algorithm engineers, verification specialists, and system architects to solve problems across disciplines.
