Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Movement Strategy acquired Newfangled Studios in May 2025 to expand social creative production.
  • Webby wins in April 2026 and ADWEEK recognition strengthen pitch credibility with brands.
  • Intuit's 2026 Automagical campaign shows Movement Strategy can land AI-forward enterprise work.

What critics are saying

  • Google and Meta pricing pressure can compress agency margins quickly in 2026.
  • AI tooling reduces billable headcount leverage, forcing constant reinvention and layoffs by 2027.
  • If social budgets reallocate to in-house teams, Movement Strategy loses its core moat.

What makes Movement Strategy unique

  • Movement Strategy built a social-first model since 2008, not a generalist ad shop.
  • Jason Mitchell is shifting teams into pod-based delivery for faster execution.
  • Ly Nguyen’s 2026 Creative 100 recognition signals unusually deep in-house creative leadership.
