AB InBev heads west for next US production investment spend. Last updated: 18/09/2026 at 3:57 PM 18 September 2026 'Investments in facilities like Los Angeles and Mira Loma help us strengthen our operations while creating and sustaining jobs and continuing to drive economic growth throughout California.' The US division of AB InBev has earmarked a small portion of its pledged US$600m investment in production capabilities for two facilities in California. Anheuser-Busch, which is in the process of doling out the funding across the US, confirmed yesterday (17 September) that $21m will be spent on its sites in the south of the state; one in Los Angeles and the other in nearby Mira Loma. Among the group's brands to benefit from the move are Michelob Ultra, spirits-based RTD Cutwater and the Phorm Energy energy drinks mark. Among the assets at the two sites set to benefit from the cash injection are the existing bottling and canning operations, while rail capacity will also be improved to support a "strengthening [of] transport capabilities and route to market". The Los Angeles Brewery will also become the home for one of the 15 new technical skills training centres promised by AB InBev for the US. According to Anheuser-Busch, a total of $184m has been invested in the two locations since 2021. Also this week, AB InBev raised the profile of the Flying Fish flavoured beer brand beyond its South Africa homeland with a Halloween-themed marketing activation across six markets.

AB InBev invests Rs 200 crore in Rajasthan brewery as beer demand surges beyond big cities.

AB InBev invests Rs 200 crore in Rajasthan brewery as beer demand surges beyond big cities. ET Bureau Last Updated: Sep 07, 2026, 07:11:00 PM IST AB InBev India has invested about Rs 200 crore in a new brewery in Neemrana, Rajasthan, expanding capacity to meet rising beer demand across North and central India. The facility began operations in July and will serve markets including Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand, amid stronger premium beer consumption. Mumbai: AB InBev India, the maker of Budweiser and Corona, has invested about Rs 200 crore in a new manufacturing facility in Neemrana, Rajasthan, as the beer maker expands manufacturing capacity to cater to growing demand across North and central India. The facility, Rochees Breweries Ltd (RBL), commenced operations in July and is positioned to serve Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and other markets, the company said in a statement on Monday. The investment, set to strengthen AB InBev's manufacturing footprint in North India, follows discussions between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever during the Belgian leader's India visit, according to the company. The move comes as premium beer consumption gains traction beyond India's larger urban markets. "Fundamentally, I think now the growth starts to be almost equal in urban, semi-urban and rural. In fact, what has caught us completely by surprise is the rural growth," Kartikeya Sharma, president, AB InBev India, told ET. Sharma said the company's breweries were running at more than 100% capacity during the peak season and that it was preparing for further demand growth. "The full focus now has shifted towards readiness for FY27," he said. AB InBev has invested more than $1.5 billion in India since 2016, including in local manufacturing and supply-chain capabilities. The company holds the leading position in the premium and super-premium beer segments. India has also emerged as the third-largest market globally for Budweiser, according to Sharma, who said the company's ambition is to make India the brand's largest market over the next decade.
