It collects and stores data from online stores and apps, analyzes customer behavior, and uses that information to power personalized campaigns across email, SMS, and on-site/product recommendations. Klaviyo opens Singapore HQ as AI reshapes shopping.

Klaviyo opens Singapore HQ as AI reshapes shopping. techcoffeehouse Klaviyo, the autonomous B2C customer relationship management (CRM) platform, has opened its Asia headquarters in Singapore, supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) in what the company calls its most significant regional commitment to date. The Singapore office opens with more than 25 staff as part of a 150-strong Asia Pacific team built with local leadership and infrastructure from day one. Klaviyo now serves more than 115,000 international customers, with APAC revenue growing at a double-digit rate, building on 35 per cent year-on-year revenue growth outside the Americas in the second quarter of 2026, part of a global revenue run rate of nearly US$1.5 billion. Singapore shoppers are already embracing AI. New Klaviyo research conducted with more than 1,000 Singapore shoppers found that 76 per cent have used AI to help find or decide on a purchase in the past three months, and 51 per cent are open to AI agents making routine repurchases on their behalf. The same research found 58 per cent of shoppers would share more personal data in return for more relevant recommendations, while nearly half said what they want most is for brands to stop sending irrelevant messages and treat them as loyal customers rather than transactions. Brian Kealey, Klaviyo's APAC Managing Director, and Eric Fearday, Klaviyo's Chief Revenue Officer, officiated the office opening, joined by Clare Lee, Vice President of Global Enterprises Division at the EDB. "Singapore was a natural choice for our regional headquarters as it offers deep access to a skilled talent pool, strong connectivity across the region, proximity to a fast-growing customer base, and a maturing AI ecosystem that aligns with Klaviyo's strategic focus," said Kealey. "We are scaling our footprint to meet this demand - hoping to expand our regional team to more than 175 employees by the end of the year." EDB backs Klaviyo's regional bet. "Through its Asia headquarters in Singapore, Klaviyo can leverage our robust digital infrastructure and consumer ecosystem to drive growth for brands serving Asia's increasingly savvy consumers," said Lee. "We welcome this investment that will create opportunities for our local talent, and look forward to partnering with Klaviyo as it builds its regional presence from Singapore." Klaviyo provides brands a real-time, lifetime view of every customer across every interaction, purchase and preference, fed by more than 350 native integrations, powering personalised and autonomous communications through email, WhatsApp and customer service. "The growth gap for brands in Asia is a data gap. Customers here move fast, expect personalisation, and have no patience for brands that treat them like a transaction," said Brian Kealey, APAC Managing Director, Klaviyo. Klaviyo buys Agency to build out its AI agents.

Klaviyo buys Agency to build out its AI agents. Published · Aug 6, 2026 Why This is Noise An acqui-hire with undisclosed terms folding a 25-person team into Klaviyo's existing AI agents doesn't change the product, pricing, or any vendor decision for a Klaviyo customer today. Key Takeaways * Klaviyo has agreed to acquire Agency, a three-year-old AI customer success startup founded by serial entrepreneur Elias Torres, for undisclosed terms. * Torres joins Klaviyo as chief product officer, leading Agency's 25-person team to expand Klaviyo's AI agents. * Those agents are Composer, which builds marketing campaigns, and Customer Agent, which handles post-sale support like returns and order tracking. * Agency had raised $32 million from Sequoia, Menlo Ventures, and Felicis before the acquisition. * Klaviyo argues its years of customer data give its agents an edge over competitors like Decagon and Sierra. What happened. Publicly traded e-commerce marketing platform Klaviyo has agreed to acquire Agency, a three-year-old AI-powered customer success startup founded by serial entrepreneur Elias Torres, TechCrunch reported. The terms were not disclosed. Agency, founded in 2023, had raised $32 million from Sequoia, Menlo Ventures, and Felicis before the deal. As part of the acquisition, Torres joins Klaviyo as chief product officer, leading Agency's 25-person team. Torres will accelerate development of Klaviyo's two AI agents: Composer, which builds marketing campaigns, and Customer Agent, which handles post-sale support like returns and order tracking. Klaviyo CEO Andrew Bialecki said the goal is to bring those agents to the company's 200,000 businesses and eventually millions more. The deal is a full-circle reunion: Torres hired Bialecki as one of his first engineers at Performable back in 2010, and Bialecki later invited Torres to angel-invest in Klaviyo's 2015 seed round. Torres previously co-founded Drift, sold to Vista Equity for $1.2 billion in 2021, and Performable, acquired by HubSpot in 2011. Why it matters. The acquisition signals Klaviyo doubling down on AI agents as the next competitive front in marketing automation, betting its accumulated customer data gives it an edge over agent-native rivals like Decagon and Sierra. For marketing teams already on Klaviyo, it's a signal the platform's agent capabilities may deepen, though nothing changes in the product today. This is an acqui-hire with undisclosed terms, so its real scale is unclear, a 25-person team is a talent-and-product tuck-in, not a major platform shift. Whether Klaviyo's data advantage actually translates into better agents than purpose-built competitors is an unproven claim from the acquirer, not a demonstrated result. It's the next big tech revolution: agents. Let's get the band back together, and let's go build. Andrew Bialecki, CEO, Klaviyo Bottom line. Watch whether Klaviyo actually ships meaningfully improved agents under Torres, and whether its customer-data pitch holds up against agent-native competitors in real deployments. The martech agent race is getting crowded, and an acqui-hire is a starting move, not a finished product. For marketing teams on Klaviyo or evaluating e-commerce platforms, per Relve, an AI tools intelligence platform, this is context on where the platform is heading, not a reason to change tools now, worth revisiting once the combined agent product actually ships. Klaviyo completes full-circle acquisition of Elias Torres' Agency, uniting tech innovators.

Klaviyo completes full-circle acquisition of Elias Torres' Agency, uniting tech innovators. August 5, 2026 2 min. read Summary of the announcement. Klaviyo, a publicly listed platform focused on e-commerce marketing automation, has entered into an agreement to acquire Agency, an AI-driven customer success startup launched just three years ago by entrepreneur Elias Torres. Although the financial terms of this acquisition remain undisclosed, it marks a significant step in expanding Klaviyo's capabilities. Founded in 2023, Agency successfully raised $32 million from notable investors such as Sequoia, Menlo Ventures, and Felicis before this acquisition. Following the deal, Torres will assume the role of Chief Product Officer at Klaviyo, leading Agency's team of 25 in enhancing Klaviyo's AI offerings, specifically their tools named Composer and Customer Agent, which are designed for marketing campaign creation and post-sale support. Why it matters. This acquisition not only strengthens Klaviyo's product suite but also signals a focused shift toward integrating AI technology in customer support and marketing automation. As the competition heats up in the SaaS market, leveraging advanced AI capabilities can provide Klaviyo with a significant edge over its rivals. By enhancing the functionality of its agents, Klaviyo aims to serve approximately 200,000 businesses initially, with ambitions to reach millions more in the near future. The transaction underscores the growing trend towards M&A activity in the tech sector, particularly among startups that excel in innovative solutions. The integration of Agency's technology aligns perfectly with Klaviyo's vision, emphasizing the importance of customer engagement driven by data and automated systems in today's digital economy. Impact on residents, businesses, or visitors. For local businesses in Fuerteventura, the implications of this technological advancement cannot be overstated. Klaviyo's sophisticated marketing and customer service solutions could revolutionize how enterprises interact with both existing and potential customers, making marketing efforts more efficient and personalized. This enhanced digital footprint could attract more holidaymakers, as businesses leverage data-driven insights to optimize their offerings and increase engagement. Moreover, the integration of AI tools like Composer and Customer Agent means that businesses will have more streamlined processes for handling inquiries and managing operations. This could lead to improved customer satisfaction, positioning local enterprises more favorably in an increasingly competitive landscape. As they adapt to these innovations, employees may also experience a shift in their roles, moving towards more strategic and analytical functions rather than routine tasks. Municipality affected. This development has implications that extend throughout the entire archipelago of the Canary Islands. As Klaviyo enhances its operations, businesses across all municipalities - including Fuerteventura - stand to benefit from improved digital marketing and customer service capabilities. By reaching a broader audience through AI-driven tools, local enterprises can enhance their competitiveness on a global scale. Related projects or previous developments. Historically, this acquisition aligns with previous efforts by Klaviyo to enhance its offerings through innovation and strategic partnerships. The company successfully transitioned to a public entity with a valuation of $9.2 billion in September 2023, underscoring its growth trajectory and commitment to integrating advanced technologies. Additionally, Torres' history of leading major tech initiatives, including prior success with Performable and Drift, provides a rich background for this collaborative effort, reminiscent of the early days of cloud computing.
