  • Give current-state assessments, including advising customers when they are not ready for their requested use case.
  • Translate architecture into business outcomes for CIOs and infrastructure leaders, including risk, cost, and avoided toil.
  • Flag integration, data-quality, and scalability risks before they affect delivery.
  • Keep architecture consistent with engagement managers, technical consultants, and platform architects.
  • Support presales scoping with realistic effort and sequencing.
  • Contribute reusable intellectual property to the practice and mentor consultants toward architect capability.
  • Advise on release cadence and upgrade sequencing as part of architecture.
  • Shape the architecture of multi-million-dollar transformation programs from the first design conversation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience designing agentic solutions in AI Agent Studio.
  • Experience governing artificial intelligence through AI Control Tower, including scope, autonomy, escalation, and value measurement.
  • Adjacent ITAM (HAM/SAM) or SecOps experience, given shared CMDB dependencies.
  • Scripting fluency sufficient to review and debug pattern, transform, and event-rule logic.
  • Preferred certifications: CSA; ArchX, CTA, or CMA for architect-track candidates.
  • Current experience with Now Assist, ServiceNow Otto, and AI Agents.

  • Hybrid work is established: ServiceNow says most staff have flexible arrangements, requiring two or more office days weekly.
  • Security work expanded: the April 2026 Armis acquisition added protection for industrial equipment, medical devices, and connected hardware.

What critics are saying

  • Subscription margins narrowed: in June 2026, ServiceNow kept 73.5% of subscription revenue after direct costs, versus 80% a year earlier.
  • Remote roles limit relocation: ServiceNow requires staff to remain within their employment state, province, region, or country.

ServiceNow CFO: Overwork doesn't make a better leader, recovery drives performance

ServiceNow president and chief financial officer Gina Mastantuono says overwork does not make a better leader. Speaking at the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit, she said recovery is a prerequisite for high performance, not a distraction from it. She criticised the idea that 14-hour days and four hours of sleep show commitment. "That is such a terrible example for the people around us," she said. Prioritising recovery helped her listen more thoughtfully, stay composed under pressure, and improve her work-life balance. Fellow panellist Alicia Hatch of Deloitte said 94% of female C-suite executives played sports growing up. Deloitte projects global women's sports revenue will reach at least $3 billion in 2026, a 340% rise over four years.

Over 25% of S&P 500 stocks are down 40%+: four bargain tech picks, from Netflix to Oracle

More than 25% of S&P 500 stocks are down 40% or more from their highs, even with the index near record levels, as of October 8, 2026. The Motley Fool sees that as a chance to hunt for bargains in tech. It names four picks. Netflix trades at about 18.5 times 2027 analyst earnings estimates, and advertising should drive its growth. Oracle has a $664 billion backlog in cloud infrastructure, but carries heavy debt and burns cash. ServiceNow, hit by the 2026 software sell-off, trades at 7.5 times forward sales as it pushes into agentic AI. AppLovin trades at 13 times 2027 earnings estimates. Its revenue rose 53% last quarter to $1.9 billion.

CFOs at Chevron, ServiceNow and Nasdaq say AI must earn capital; ServiceNow targets $500M savings

Chevron, ServiceNow and Nasdaq finance chiefs say AI projects must prove their worth before getting funded. They spoke on a panel at the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit in Santa Barbara on Tuesday. Chevron's chief financial officer, Eimear Bonner, said AI "has got to compete for capital" and cannot be "a science experiment." She wants a clear path to value and results that reach the bottom line. ServiceNow's Gina Mastantuno said CFOs must also weigh the cost of falling behind rivals. The company expects $500 million in savings this year, largely from using its own products. Nasdaq's Sarah Youngwood sorts investments by time horizon and tracks AI metrics such as coding speed, client retention and token costs.
