  • The candidate must have a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, or technical degree in Engineering, Business, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • The candidate must have 10 or more years of project engineering and/or project management experience.
  • The candidate must have 3 to 5 years of project estimation experience.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze nuclear project drawings, specifications, and design or technical documentation to understand project scope and requirements while adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Use specialist cost estimation software and techniques to forecast material, consumables, labor, equipment, fees, and overhead costs.
  • Document estimate details, bases, and key assumptions.
  • Provide estimates for nuclear projects across the fleet, supporting Pressurized Water Reactor and Boiling Water Reactor facilities.
  • Re-evaluate cost estimates during the Long Range Planning process for future years.
  • Research and obtain quotes from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to inform cost assessments.
  • Provide governance and oversight of cost estimates for accuracy.
  • Work with engineers, project managers, safety staff, and regulatory compliance personnel to refine project estimates and align them with industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Present detailed cost estimates to the project team and site stakeholders or management.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst certification or Certified Cost Professional certification, with specialization in nuclear projects.
  • Membership in the American Society of Professional Estimators.
  • Project Management Professional certification.
