- Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Hold registration as a Radiologic Technologist (RT).
- Have one year of experience in diagnostic radiology.
- Hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Complete 22 weeks of clinical and didactic training to become eligible for certification.
- Work under the supervision of a registered CT technologist while providing computed tomography examinations according to physician orders.
- After successfully completing the program, apply for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification examination when eligible.
- After passing the certification examination, accept assignment to a computed tomography technologist position and fulfill a two-year employment commitment with Northside Hospital.
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
- Ability to insert an intravenous catheter.
