About the Company

Farm Credit Bank of Texas

Cooperative lender for rural agriculture

Farm Credit Bank of Texas provides credit and financial services to rural America as a customer-owned cooperative. It funds its lending by selling AAA-rated Farm Credit bonds in the money markets rather than taking deposits, supporting loans for agriculture, agribusiness, rural real estate, and country homes. It is governed by a board of Farm Credit customers elected by fellow customers and distributes earnings to members as patronage, distinguishing itself from non-cooperative lenders. Its goal is to finance farming and rural communities through a sustainable cooperative model within the Farm Credit System.
