Wells Fargo shifts AI agent liability to customers on November 24, three days before Black Friday

Apple's $299 HomeView ships in the US on November 13, and Wells Fargo's updated Online Access Agreement takes effect November 24. Black Friday falls three days later, on November 27. Section 15 of the Wells Fargo agreement deems any instruction an AI agent executes as authorised by the customer, without further verification. It says use of an AI agent is "AT YOUR OWN RISK," and the bank does not monitor agent activity. The bank may limit, suspend, or terminate agent access at any time. Merchants look unprepared. An October 24 analysis found 11% of small and mid-sized merchants and 19% of large merchants agent-ready. Among consumers, 58% research with AI, but only 17% are comfortable letting it complete a purchase. HomeView remains unavailable in the EU.

Apple, Abbott and Accenture: quality growth stocks for a Fed on hold at 3.75%-4%

The US Federal Reserve held rates at 3.75% to 4% and signals it may tighten further. A Simply Wall St screen of large-cap US quality growth stocks found 50 companies with strong balance sheets, profitability, and growth. It highlights three. Abbott Laboratories has a market value of about $178.4 billion, with roughly $19.4 billion of revenue from the US. Wider use of continuous glucose monitoring could support sales growth. Accenture is valued near $138.9 billion. The market is asking whether it can turn AI from a threat into a growth engine. Apple is worth about $5.1 trillion, with $193.6 billion in revenue from the Americas. Its services business is seen as a key source of future profit.

Apple's 2,000-nit OLED MacBook Pro cuts glare and adds touch, but touch feels modest

Apple's 2026 MacBook Pro adds a 2,000-nit OLED screen and touch input, and the screen already looks like the one rivals will chase for years, according to an early review. The brightness helps overpower the glare that deeper OLED blacks often cause. Apple also uses what it calls a "state-of-the-art" anti-reflective coating, which the reviewer called the best he has seen. A nano-texture display, with the pattern etched into the screen itself, is an upgrade on both the 14-inch and 16-inch models. Touch feels as fluid as on an iPad and supports trackpad gestures such as pinch to zoom. However, the Apple Pencil does not work, and third-party apps vary in touch support. ZBrush, for example, lacks Apple's touch optimisations.

Apple's first touchscreen MacBook Pro hands-on: touch is optional, from $2,899

Apple unveiled its first touchscreen laptops on Wednesday at an event in Los Angeles. The MacBook Pro with ProLED XDR Display comes in 14-inch and 16-inch models and still runs MacOS. Touch is optional. Users can stick with the trackpad and keyboard, and the software looks largely the same. Apple says every tap is converted into a click, so any clickable button also works by touch. An oleophobic coating resists fingerprints, and a new tandem OLED display offers deeper blacks and higher contrast. The notch gives way to a hole-punch cutout, and the Apple logo on the lid now lights up. The 14-inch model starts at $2,899; the 16-inch costs at least $3,399.
