About the Job

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in product management, defining and delivering SaaS and/or cloud-based enterprise software products or features.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as Business or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience building scalable integrations between enterprise software applications and external systems, including working knowledge of integration platforms, REST APIs, and SOAP technologies.
  • Experience working directly with external software vendors, technology partners, or implementation partners on a shared technical deliverable.
  • Experience collaborating with developers, QA, and UX designers to deliver products that produce clear results for customers.
  • Ability to align engineering, partner, go-to-market, and neighboring product teams around a shared plan.
  • Ability to advocate for customers by understanding their needs, workflows, feedback, and support cases, and incorporating them into product decisions.
  • Ability to research customer needs, file specifications, API contracts, competing product approaches, and relevant data to shape requirements.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders, set partnership expectations, follow up on specifications, and keep joint builds moving despite differing priorities.
  • Ability to make decisions with incomplete information, weigh risks and evidence, and manage several projects concurrently.
  • Ability to identify reusable patterns in one-off requests and turn repeated custom work into configurable solutions.
  • Hands-on experience using large language model or agent tooling in product work, such as prototyping, assessing output quality, or shipping a product that uses it.
  • Ability to assess where AI can help with data transformation and where it cannot.
  • Ability to learn quickly, pay attention to detail, communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, and solve difficult problems in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set the direction and roadmap for the Financials integration portfolio, including its underlying technical capabilities.
  • Shape integration solution design around customer requirements, technical architecture, and intended business outcomes; own shipped integrations, including ongoing support and improvement.
  • Define, prioritize, and deliver productized integrations with strategic industry partners.
  • Translate partner file specifications and API contracts into functional requirements, sequence work against partnership and sales timelines, and deliver integrations customers can configure rather than build.
  • Work with strategic industry partners, implementers, and the Industry Ecosystems team through design, build, certification, and launch.
  • Set standards for partner specifications, keep joint builds on schedule, and define the support model for integrations after launch.
  • Own the new integration development framework, measure development efficiency, deployment cost, and configurability for customers and implementers, and drive improvements across supported integration types.
  • Use AI to generate and check field mappings, speed up integration build and deployment, guide implementers through customization, and track changes to file formats and regulations.
  • Define how AI-generated output is reviewed before it reaches a customer.
  • Learn the business context behind each integration, including product goals and customer usage, and help integrations contribute to the success of related Financials products.
  • Partner with engineering, QA, and UX through design, development, testing, release, and maintenance.
  • Provide product roadmap, delivery-status, and partner-readiness updates to product leadership, field teams, and customers.
  • Lead technical discussions with internal and external audiences and represent the product area in the Workday community and at Workday events.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with corporate finance or accounting at multinational organizations, or exposure to e-invoicing, tax compliance, or statutory reporting.
