  • Demonstrated ability to define and govern domain-level test strategy, including coverage standards, definition-of-done criteria, and test architecture decisions across scrum teams.
  • Established AI tooling practice in quality engineering, including defining adoption standards, evaluating output quality, and driving team-wide use for test generation, SQL authoring, security scenarios, and data synthesis.
  • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET test frameworks such as NUnit, xUnit, or MSTest, and experience architecting and governing shared automation frameworks.
  • Security testing ownership, including setting domain-level standards for input validation, authentication boundary testing, injection vulnerabilities, and OWASP-aligned coverage, and ensuring consistent application across the QE team.
  • Expert-level command of JIRA and Xray, including test governance, coverage reporting, and quality metrics at program or domain level.
  • Experience representing quality at PI planning, release governance, and cross-functional architectural forums, with influence over delivery decisions.
  • Experience mentoring Senior and Lead QEs through structured coaching, test and code reviews, and contribution to career development and IDP conversations.
  • Executive communication skills for explaining quality risk, coverage status, and data accuracy findings to Engineering Directors, Product leadership, and enterprise client stakeholders.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience at a level consistent with the role's scope.

Responsibilities

  • Own Reporting/BI domain quality outcomes across multiple scrum teams and architect quality practices throughout delivery, from requirements through production.
  • Define platform-wide test strategy and coverage standards for reporting features, SQL and PL/SQL changes, BI enhancements, and data pipeline work, covering functional correctness, financial data accuracy, aggregation logic, hierarchical traversal, performance, regression, security, and non-functional scenarios.
  • Establish the test-condition framework from user stories, reporting specifications, and data contracts, including coverage standards for boundary conditions, null handling, edge cases, and audit-trail accuracy.
  • Ensure domain-level defects are triaged, prioritized, and resolved with root causes addressed in partnership with Engineering Leads, Product Management, and DevOps.
  • Represent quality at quarter planning, release governance, and cross-team sprint ceremonies; flag coverage gaps, challenge scope, and influence delivery decisions before commitments are made.
  • Set and enforce consistent quality standards across Reporting/BI scrum teams in the India CoE, partnering with QA & Standards leadership and Engineering Directors.
  • Own SQL and PL/SQL validation architecture, including reusable query libraries, validation patterns, and data-reconciliation frameworks used across features, releases, and client environments.
  • Define and govern data-accuracy testing for hierarchical data models, including hierarchy traversal, rollup levels, aggregation logic, financial calculations, and referential integrity.
  • Lead validation of SQL and PL/SQL changes, including stored procedures, packages, views, and query modifications; set review standards for correctness, performance, and side effects, and personally conduct deep reviews of high-risk or complex changes.
  • Set team-wide standards for isolating, documenting, and communicating data discrepancies with clear SQL evidence pinpointing failures in the data pipeline.
  • Own query-performance benchmarking as a quality gate by defining thresholds, maintaining baselines across report types and data volumes, and requiring performance validation for SQL changes.
  • Define and own end-to-end report-output fidelity standards for rendered output, totals, formatting, filtering behavior, and drill-down results across report types and client environments.
  • Set the validation framework for Logi Analytics (Logi Symphony), covering report rendering, parameter handling, data binding, conditional logic, and export output, with reusable coverage patterns.
  • Own parameterization and configuration test strategy, defining combinatorial coverage for user-selectable filters, date ranges, grouping options, and report variants.
  • Set and maintain standards for financial report accuracy, auditability, and compliance readiness across regulated enterprise client environments.
  • Own report-performance validation as a platform quality gate, defining load thresholds by report type and data volume, maintaining regression baselines, and driving engineering response to degradation.
  • Define the QA & Standards organization's AI-tooling adoption strategy for test-plan generation, edge-case identification, SQL validation authoring, data synthesis, and end-to-end scenario coverage; establish review and promotion standards for AI-generated artifacts.
  • Use AI-augmented quality practices to increase test coverage and scenario breadth and establish them as the expected practice across the domain's QE team.
  • Continuously improve AI-tooling effectiveness by evaluating output quality, identifying failure modes, and improving prompting strategies, toolchain integrations, and review workflows.
  • Evaluate emerging AI capabilities in test generation, intelligent triage, and data synthesis; run structured pilots and provide evidence-based adoption recommendations to engineering and QA leadership.
  • Own the Reporting/BI domain automation investment strategy, determining what to automate, priority, coverage thresholds, and tooling, with SQL data validation and API test coverage as primary surfaces and UI automation secondary.
  • Architect and govern the shared automation framework, including SQL assertion patterns, API test structure, Azure DevOps CI/CD integration standards, and review criteria for QE test contributions.
  • Set and enforce a decision framework for automation versus manual testing based on coverage value, maintenance cost, and delivery velocity.
  • Own domain-level automation pipeline health by defining failure-triage service-level agreements, distinguishing defects from environmental noise, and improving coverage reliability and signal-to-noise ratio across CI/CD-integrated test suites.
  • Define security-testing standards for input validation, authentication and authorization boundaries, data exposure risks, and injection vulnerabilities in report parameters and API inputs, and ensure they are incorporated into QE test approaches.
  • Engage in design and architecture stages to identify security-sensitive surfaces and influence implementation decisions affecting testability before development begins.
  • Use AI tools to generate security scenarios and attack vectors, and establish standards for validating AI-generated security test artifacts.
  • Own domain security-risk escalation by assessing severity, framing compliance and client exposure, and driving resolution with Engineering and QA leadership.
  • Partner with Lead Engineers and Engineering Managers at design and architecture reviews to influence implementation decisions affecting quality and testability.
  • Set domain-wide communication standards for defect status, test coverage, data accuracy findings, and quality risks, and ensure the QE team follows them.
  • Mentor Senior and Lead QEs through structured test and code reviews, SQL validation and automation coaching programs, and contributions to IDP conversations and career growth.
  • Serve as the primary quality interface for enterprise client stakeholders, owning defect evidence, issue clarification, and quality-assurance communications for UBS, Bank of America, and other strategic engagements.

Desired Qualifications

  • Domain expertise in financial reporting, equity compensation, financial services, or regulated environments where report accuracy has compliance and audit implications.
  • Hands-on experience architecting validation coverage for Logi Analytics (Logi Symphony) or comparable enterprise BI or embedded analytics platforms, sufficient to define the platform's testing standard.
  • Expert-level command of hierarchical and tree-structured data-model validation, including coverage patterns for parent/child relationships, rollup correctness, and drill-down accuracy.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools beyond Logi, such as Power BI, Tableau, or Cognos, sufficient to evaluate cross-platform validation approaches and inform tool selection.
  • Familiarity with Oracle read-optimization patterns, including materialized views, result cache, and analytical functions, sufficient to make architectural recommendations on query performance at enterprise data volumes.
