Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and read and write common vocabulary.
Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the State of Ohio.
Responsibilities
Comply with state and federal laws, rules, and regulations while filling prescriptions and supporting daily pharmacy activities.
Assist the pharmacist with reasonable procedures as needed.
Answer phone calls, take customer walk-in information, type labels, and file prescriptions.
Call or electronically contact doctors for refill authorizations and assist with reporting procedures.
Assist the pharmacist in filling clinic and satellite requisitions for drugs and pharmaceutical supplies, including counting pills, filling containers, and filling containers with creams and ointments.
Assist in packaging operations.
Maintain related records and files.
Prepare communications and reports.
Bill third-party transactions to the appropriate carrier.
Assist the pharmacist with stock ordering, receive incoming stock, and place stock on shelves.
Keep the pharmacy orderly and neat, and clean and stock shelves.
Operate a cash register and computer.
Assist the pharmacist with inventory control by preparing supply orders, maintaining inventory records, and rotating stock.
Check for outdated medications and price-label medications.
Monday – Friday schedule. No late nights, no weekends, and 11 paid holidays.
