George's children's range is perfect for autumn layering with prices from £12. George by Asda has launched its autumn kidswear range for children aged 1-14, featuring affordable kids knitwear, layering pieces and children's outerwear. Learn more For parents, finding affordable clothing options for their children is essential. Supermarket own-brand ranges are frequently among the most sought-after solutions, offering stylish yet comfortable choices that look far more expensive than they actually are. George, available at Asda supermarkets and online, has recently unveiled its new autumn kidswear collection, featuring knitwear, layering pieces and outerwear at budget-friendly prices. It offers a cost-conscious way to update a child's autumn wardrobe, whether shoppers are seeking comfortable everyday wear or a new jacket following a growth spurt. We believe the pieces are ideal for the transitional season, as well as for layering up to stay warm. The range is extensive, spanning basic t-shirts and jeans through to two-piece sets and snug coats. Our top picks for kids at George. We've selected a handful of our favourite pieces, with our picks starting from £12 for a two-piece ensemble. The selection also includes a boys' padded hooded jacket, as well as a stylish sweatshirt and trousers set for young girls, as reported by Mirror. While we've not listed them below, for those shopping on a budget, we've even spotted long sleeve tops in the new range from £3.25. As many of these items are newly launched, it's worth noting that there are currently no customer reviews available for the products. Elsewhere, Marks & Spencer's latest children's clothing range is now available to browse online, featuring coats and jackets from £16, along with wardrobe essentials for all seasons. Next's autumn collection for children includes multi-pack pyjamas for both boys and girls, while their Halloween clothing range features sets, cardigans and sleepsuits. Spotty Cord Frill Neck Dress and Tights. For girls, there's this stunning Spotty Cord Frill Neck Dress and Tights Set from £12. The two-piece ensemble features a soft corduroy fabric dress in an autumnal shade, complete with a charming spotted print. The 100% cotton dress boasts a round neck and a button front fastening, paired with a set of cream cotton-rich tights. Sizes range from 1 to 1.5 years, right up to 7-8 years. If the colour isn't to your taste, we'd recommend considering the Dark Pink Striped Dress and Tights Outfit, also from £12. This set also features a frilly collar, but rather than corduroy, it's crafted from 100% cotton, and also comes with a pair of cotton-rich tights. With both sets, parents may find themselves reserving the light-coloured tights for special occasions, opting instead for darker shades that are less likely to show stains and spills. Navy new york back graphic hoodie and joggers outfit. This two-piece hoodie and joggers outfit is available in sizes from 3-4 years through to 13-14 years, from £18. The hooded long-sleeve jumper features an eye-catching back graphic design. The jogging bottoms come with an elasticated waist, full-length legs and cuffed ankles. Both pieces are crafted from a soft jersey fabric that's suitable for machine washing and tumble drying when required. White Contrast Stripe Cupsole Trainers. We've also found some stylish footwear in the new range. These White Contrast Stripe Cupsole Trainers, from £12, are ideal for both boys and girls. The trainers feature a straightforward 'touch and close' fastening with elasticated laces, along with a contrast stripe design and a gripped cupsole. Available sizes range from a toddler's size 4 to 13, extending through to small sizes 1 and 2. It's worth noting that the trainers are not leather and are wipe-clean only, which could potentially affect their longevity. Flower Embroidered Zip Front Denim Jacket. Also on offer is the Flower Embroidered Zip Front Denim Jacket for young girls, starting from £16. The jacket boasts a collared neck with long, elastic cuff sleeves. The intricate flower embroidery lends a playful touch to the denim material, and it comes in sizes ranging from 1-1.5 years up to 7-8 years. Shoppers can also pair it with the Mid Wash Embroidered Daisy Barrel Leg Jeans from £10. These full-length jeans include an elasticated waist for added convenience. Cuddly Club Sweatshirt and Trousers Outfit. Priced from £12, the Cuddly Club Sweatshirt and Trousers Outfit is certain to prove popular with young girls. The crew neck, long-sleeved top showcases an adorable cat design alongside the embroidered 'cuddly club' slogan. The co-ordinating trousers are full-length with an elasticated waist, and feature a floral pattern crafted from soft jersey fabric. The set is available in sizes 1-1.5 years through to 7-8 years. Black ORGNL Padded Hooded Jacket. Finally, this Black ORGNL Padded Hooded Jacket for boys is a standout choice, available from £26. The hooded jacket is padded and shower-resistant, though it is not waterproof. Article continues below Lined with Borg fleece to keep little ones warm, the jacket features a long storm cuff sleeve and four pockets - two side zip and two front flap. One of the standout features of this jacket is its ability to be machine-washed and tumble-dried in a hurry when needed, making it ideal for children who love spending time outdoors. Available in sizes ranging from 4-5 years to 13-14 years, though several sizes are currently out of stock.

Asda launches new range of no and low-alcohol wine.

Asda launches new range of no and low-alcohol wine. 19th October 2026 Asda has expanded its own-label wine portfolio with the launch of Balancing Act, a new range of alcohol-free and low-alcohol wines aimed at consumers looking to moderate their drinking. The supermarket has introduced three wines across two price points, £6 and £10, as it looks to capitalise on growing consumer interest in lower-alcohol alternatives ahead of the festive season. Developed in partnership with one of Asda's French wine suppliers in the Loire Valley, the range has been created to retain the characteristics of traditional wines while substantially reducing their alcohol content. The collection includes a Balancing Act Sauvignon Blanc at 0.0% ABV, priced at £6, alongside a premium Sauvignon Blanc at 0.5% ABV and a Pinot Noir at 0.5% ABV, both retailing at £10. The alcohol-free Sauvignon Blanc features citrus and white fruit flavours, while the premium version offers notes of pear and cherry blossom, with subtle oak influences. The Pinot Noir has been developed with red fruit flavours and hints of spice and oak. The launch forms part of Asda's efforts to strengthen its position in the expanding no and low-alcohol drinks category, with the retailer targeting shoppers seeking alternatives to conventional alcoholic drinks for social occasions. Tom Bourne, Wine Sourcing Manager at Asda, said: "The no and low category continues to evolve rapidly, but finding wines that truly deliver on quality and varietal character remains a challenge. With Balancing Act, we've worked closely with our winemaking partner in the Loire Valley to create wines that offer a genuine step up in quality." He added: "The range is all about balance. It's about balancing the craft of winemaking with alcohol reduction, while also recognising that many customers want to enjoy great wine as part of a more balanced lifestyle. Whether they're cutting back completely or simply moderating during many social events in the run-up to the festive period, we wanted to offer wines that don't feel like a compromise."
