- The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- The candidate must have three years of experience in the clinical area, including at least one year in the area of specialty, or a Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing with two years of experience in the clinical area, including at least one year in the area of specialty.
- The candidate must hold a current Registered Nurse license in Georgia, a Nurse Compact license, or a multistate license.
- The candidate must hold current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Visual color acuity is required depending on the role in specific units.
- Provide supervision of the nursing operations of a unit.
- Assume 24-hour nursing responsibility in the absence of the Manager or Director.
- Work with a unit-specific patient population.
- An additional life support credential such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification, or another clinical specialty certification, is preferred.
