Field Application Engineer - Control
About the job
- A Master's degree or Technical Degree in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Motion Control, PLC, Servo, Drive, or Industrial Automation products, such as Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, Beckhoff, or equivalent brands is required.
- Strong hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols, network configuration, troubleshooting, and system integration, such as Modbus, CANopen, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, OPC UA, and MQTT is required.
- Strong hands-on experience with industrial field devices, instrumentation, sensor integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting, such as encoders, vision systems, temperature controllers, power meters, and other industrial sensors is required.
- Proven experience in commissioning, diagnosing, and troubleshooting issues in multi-vendor automation environments is required.
- Experience in cross-functional coordination between R&D, sales, customers, and service teams is required.
- Fluent English communication skills are required.
- Organization skills are required.
- Planning and analytical skills are required.
- Presentation skills are required.
- Provide product support as the primary responsibility and product management as the secondary responsibility.
- Solve technical questions from customers using the ticket system.
- Provide on-site technical support, including parameter metering, network communication, and debugging.
- Perform product test tasks assigned by PMM.
- Prepare product training materials, including presentations, videos, and demo kits, and conduct training.
- Manage technical documentation.
- Conduct returned-product inspections, fault analysis, and consultations, and report findings using CRM.
- Report technical product issues.
- Travel occasionally as requested.
- Proficiency in additional European languages is considered an advantage.
