  • All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.
  • Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association or proof of alternative coverage is required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification is required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide full-scope hospitalist practice and care for patients within the Northern Zone while participating in call.
  • Report professional responsibilities and quality of practice to the Zone Department Head of Family Practice.
  • Provide care and coordinate community-based, secondary-level, and tertiary-level health care.
  • Operate within the bylaws, rules, and regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
  • Participate in quality-improvement and evaluation activities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Applicants may engage in research and/or medical teaching positions with Dalhousie University.
  • Scheduling is flexible, with overnight call split among the group of five physicians.
