Requirements

  • A technical university degree is required.
  • Relevant occupational health and safety certifications or a master's degree in occupational health and safety are required alternatives.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Romanian occupational health and safety legislation and national norms are required.
  • At least three years of experience in a similar role are required.
  • Analytical thinking and the ability to manage risks effectively are required.
  • A process-oriented approach and strong organizational and planning skills are required.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders is required.
  • A proactive, responsible, and solution-oriented mindset is required.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor Romanian health, safety, and environmental legal requirements, as well as applicable Frequentis Group policies, objectives, and procedures.
  • Identify, assess, and support mitigation of workplace health and safety risks.
  • Deliver and coordinate employee safety training and periodic instructions.
  • Promote a strong safety culture within the company by driving the Health and Safety Committee.
  • Develop, maintain, and coordinate emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, crisis management activities, fire safety measures, and emergency preparedness exercises.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain required documentation, records, and reporting related to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Ensure environmental compliance and reporting obligations, and coordinate waste management activities and related documentation.
  • Cooperate with internal and external stakeholders, including authorities, occupational physicians, and external prevention and protection service providers.
  • Manage audits, inspections, and interactions with authorities and external service providers.
  • Manage workplace layout, ergonomics, and employee working conditions, ensuring alignment with health, safety, and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in the reception and acceptance of equipment, workplace installations, and occupational health and safety protective equipment.
  • Oversee daily office operations and ensure proper maintenance and operation of office facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with suppliers providing cleaning, maintenance, utilities, safety equipment, and other workplace-related services to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Act as the main point of contact for office-related operational and health and safety needs.
