Greenvolt Power has secured €284 million in financing for a 253.1 MW wind farm in Gurbanesti, Romania. The funding comes from a consortium of eight financial institutions, including UniCredit, Erste Group Bank, Banca Comercială Română, Siemens Financial Services, Société Générale, BRD, ING Bank, and Alpha Bank. The wind farm will feature 42 turbines, each with 6.1 MW capacity, and is expected to begin commercial operations by the end of 2027. It forms part of the larger Wind Rose platform, totalling 506 MW, which includes another 253.1 MW project in Ialomita. Greenvolt Group's Romanian portfolio comprises 707 MW of wind power, 58 MW of solar capacity, and 209 MW of battery storage projects. The company also provides distributed generation solutions through its Greenvolt Next subsidiary.
ACEN Corp., the Ayala group's energy platform, has secured a €50 million (approximately ₱3.5 billion) term loan facility from ING Bank, N.V., Manila Branch. The funds will finance renewable energy projects and general corporate purposes. ACEN's subsidiary, ACEN Investments, Inc., signed the facility. This follows a similar €50 million loan ING extended to another ACEN subsidiary in May last year. ACEN currently has 7.5 gigawatts of attributable renewable energy capacity across the Philippines, Australia, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Laos, and the United States. The company aims to exceed 8 GW by year-end. For 2026, ACEN has allocated over ₱80 billion for capital expenditures. The company reported attributable net income of ₱3.9 billion, five times the previous year's ₱763 million.
