About the job
- Board certification or board eligibility is required.
- Candidates should be comfortable providing the full range of anesthesia clinical care, including cardiothoracic anesthesia, regional techniques, and all listed surgical subspecialties.
- Employees must be vaccinated or have laboratory-confirmed immunity for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella.
- Employees must receive a flu vaccine during the hiring year and annually thereafter, unless they receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
- Provide anesthesia care at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City and potentially support other sites across northern Michigan.
- Perform cases independently in a solo-practice model and provide medical direction of anesthetists in the care-team model.
- Provide anesthesia for cardiothoracic, general, orthopedic, spine, otolaryngology, facial plastics, neurosurgery, vascular, ophthalmology, obstetric, gynecologic, urologic, podiatric, and robotic surgeries.
- Provide supervision ranging from supervision to medical direction across the system.
- Request written consultation from physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate and quality patient care.
- Cardiac fellowship experience is preferred.
- Transesophageal echocardiography experience is welcome but not required.
