Requirements
  • Provide a professional demeanor and strong customer service, consulting, and training skills.
  • Have experience troubleshooting and repairing desktop and laptop hardware in the field or a related area.
  • Have basic IT experience and an understanding of networks, Intel servers, and telecommunications.
  • Have strong break/fix skills for desktops, workstations, notebooks, and Dell tablets.
  • Have strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Have strong Microsoft operating system troubleshooting skills.
  • Have strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Provide face-to-face end-user support at walk-up IT locations and users' desks, emphasizing quality resolutions.
  • Improve end-user productivity by performing triage, offering advice, teaching users, and developing solutions to common office-productivity challenges.
  • Provide hardware break/fix and warranty support for desktop, laptop, tablet, and workstation devices.
  • Provide operating-system and application support to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems.
  • Reimage systems as required.
  • Identify potential escalations and proactively alert management.
  • Partner with other IT teams to resolve problems and identify root causes when necessary.
  • Recommend or perform system upgrades.
  • Work with procurement staff to purchase hardware and software.
  • Install and test computers and peripherals according to established standards and guidelines.
  • Provide basic support for mobile devices and printers.
  • Provide primary support for executive users.
  • Provide equipment-move services.
  • Ensure configuration and inventory-management database entries are complete and accurate.
  • Provide time and resource estimates for assigned tasks, including time-tracking activities.
  • Travel locally as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as BMC, SNOW, or RequestCenter.
  • Experience working with executives.
  • Experience with iOS.
  • Hardware certifications such as A+ or equivalent.
  • Microsoft certifications such as MCSA for Windows 7, 8, or 10.
  • Networking certifications such as CCNA or CCNP.
  • Experience performing remote control of PCs.
  • Knowledge of video conferencing.
  • SCCM experience.
