Requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience in streaming media, entertainment platforms, or digital subscription businesses, focused on growth analytics, engagement strategy, or product data science.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and data visualization platforms such as Tableau and Looker, including independently querying large, complex datasets, building self-service dashboards, and extracting actionable insights.
  • Technical understanding of content discovery mechanisms, algorithms, recommendation systems, and user engagement patterns, with experience optimizing funnel conversion, retention cohorts, and Customer Lifetime Value.
  • A strong foundation in statistical analysis and experimental design, including A/B and multivariate testing, and the ability to define rigorous testing frameworks.
  • Capability with analytics and data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Excel, and Numbers to identify patterns, develop KPIs, and create self-service dashboards.
  • Success building business cases for product or feature enhancements and influencing Product, Content, and Platform teams without direct authority.
  • Ability to use AI tools and pattern-recognition outputs to analyze large datasets, prioritize workloads, and build scalable performance-monitoring frameworks.
  • Ability to communicate and present complex data clearly and concisely to executive leadership using Keynote.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze data across the TV App Platform, pre-roll, and post-play to understand how customers discover and engage with Apple TV titles.
  • Review platform creative performance and partner with local teams to optimize title presentation for each geography.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of programming and collections, and assess how programming levers affect impressions and play rates.
  • Use daily metrics to recommend ad hoc programming adjustments and ensure customers receive appropriate content at the appropriate time.
  • Track high-level viewership data by benchmarking titles against comparable titles and goals.
  • Monitor completion and progression rates, identify opportunities to build on successful performance, and flag concerns requiring strategic intervention.
  • Identify and champion platform-personalization optimizations.
  • Build data-backed business cases for TV App product improvements and work cross-functionally to deliver them to customers.
  • Develop engagement strategies based on KPI benchmarks and share learnings with international stakeholders to support a cohesive global platform experience.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced proficiency in statistical programming languages such as Python and R for deep-dive behavioral analysis and predictive modeling.
  • At least 5 years of experience operating in an international or regional capacity and navigating fragmented datasets across multiple geographies.
  • Deep passion and knowledge of movies, television content, and the broader digital media spectrum.

Apple discloses $14.7B EU tax payment in Ireland following court ruling

Apple has disclosed its profits and tax payments across individual EU countries for the first time under new transparency rules. The tech giant reported $17.1 billion in income tax paid in Ireland for the financial year ending September 2025, reflecting funds released from an escrow account following a European Court of Justice ruling. In September 2024, Apple lost a legal battle with the European Commission over Irish tax advantages, resulting in a €13 billion ($15.2 billion) back taxes order plus interest. In Germany, Apple recorded pre-tax profit of around $209 million and paid $153.5 million in income tax. Its German operations generated $2.72 billion in revenue and employed 4,089 people. Under EU rules, multinational companies with global annual revenue exceeding €750 million must publicly disclose income tax information for individual countries.

Meta releases open-source AI models while Apple tests Chinese memory chips to tackle supply crunch

Apple books $6M profit per Irish employee vs. $51K in Germany

Apple lays off 60 Vision Pro staff, shifts focus to smart glasses as Ternus prepares for CEO role
