Requirements
  • For the LPN qualification, graduate from an LPN program and hold a current license.
  • For the RMA/CMA qualification, graduate from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program and hold an active registration or certification.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills are required.
  • A self-starter with high motivation, a friendly and outgoing personality, and excellent customer service skills is required.
Responsibilities
  • Obtain patients’ vital signs and general health information for the patient chart, and prepare patients for examination.
  • Assist the provider as needed with examinations and procedures.
  • Assist in collecting laboratory specimens and performing tests on patients as ordered by the provider, or arrange patient testing, admissions, and referrals.
  • Enter and record patient information in charts concisely and accurately.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate degree is preferred but not required.
  • Three years of clinical experience in a physician’s office is highly preferred.
  • Experience with the Epic electronic medical record, office skills, and knowledge of medical terminology and insurance terminology are preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of various health insurance plans is preferred.
