About the job
- At least 1 year of manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred.
- Ability to stop the production line or prevent shipment of products because of nonconformance or potential nonconformance.
- Ability to operate a hand truck.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to inspect parts against company quality standards.
- Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and the control plan.
- Ability to set up the line with proper hook configurations.
- Ability to stand at the paint line or wash line for periods of up to 2 hours at a time.
- Ability to work in an environment exposed to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Handle, hang, and unload parts on an overhead conveyor moving at approximately 8 to 10 feet per minute.
- Operate a hand truck.
- Perform testing to assure part quality in an environmentally safe state and maintain records.
- Support the environmental policy by implementing processes proactively, suggesting improvements, reducing waste, and acting on environmental performance results and findings.
- Clean and change nozzles within the wash system.
- Dump and refill wash stages as needed.
- Complete the required paperwork for quality standards.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
