About the Job

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, law, risk, compliance, political science, data/information science, or a related field is required.
  • At least 8 years of experience in compliance, legal operations, risk, audit, privacy, security governance, program or project management, or regulatory operations; technology, media, or AdTech experience is preferred.
  • Experience leading compliance, audit-readiness, regulatory, or remediation programs, including evidence coordination, documentation review, status tracking, and issue management, and building or scaling a compliance operating model, program, or function. Working knowledge of the three-lines-of-defense model and second-line oversight versus first-line control execution is required.
  • A track record owning compliance or risk metrics, analytics, and reporting, including designing KPI/KRI frameworks and executive dashboards measuring program effectiveness through metrics, thresholds, data lineage, and data-quality controls, and presenting results to senior leaders, committees, or a Board.
  • Strong program leadership in a fast-paced, global, matrixed environment, including managing parallel initiatives, workplans, owners and dependencies, momentum, and issue resolution, and leading through influence with senior stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Ability to analyze data, documentation, evidence, and workflows; identify gaps, inconsistencies, root causes, and improvements; and recommend clear actions.
  • Strong documentation, record-keeping, and communication skills, with attention to accuracy, completeness, consistency, and the ability to produce clear materials for cross-functional teams, senior leaders, committees, and Board review.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and self-directed, with a hands-on approach, sound risk-based judgment about escalation, and curiosity about new regulatory areas, frameworks, business models, and compliance domains.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, GRC platforms, and other program, project, workflow, or knowledge-management systems, along with fluency using AI tools such as Claude or Co-work for drafting, analysis, summarization, tracking, and workflow efficiency.
  • Advanced data skills, including SQL, BI/dashboard tools, and Excel/Sheets, and ability to work with data and engineering partners to source, validate, and maintain compliance data.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the build and day-to-day operation of defined Enterprise Compliance Office services, translating regulatory, policy, and governance requirements into frameworks, artifacts, and repeatable processes, and continuously improve program infrastructure such as playbooks, templates, trackers, repositories, and workflows.
  • Design, build, and own the compliance metrics framework and dashboards, including KPI/KRI definitions, data sources, thresholds, owners, and data-quality processes; measure program effectiveness and Compliance Champion network metrics; and produce recurring Risk Committee, Board, and executive reporting with trend analysis and recommended actions.
  • Set documentation and evidence standards and oversee the quality of audit-ready documentation and evidence maintained by the Enterprise Compliance Office and control owners, ensuring completeness, accuracy, version control, traceability from risk to control to evidence, and retrievability.
  • Analyze compliance data, documentation, evidence, and workflows; independently investigate issues and open questions; identify gaps, inconsistencies, trends, and leading indicators; and drive solutions that close documentation, control, or process gaps and improve effectiveness, quality, efficiency, and operational rigor.
  • Maintain the consolidated risk register and provide data-driven input to enterprise, product/feature-level, market-entry, and acquisition risk assessments and prioritization.
  • Support the policy and standards lifecycle and exceptions and risk-acceptance process, including policy inventory, review cadence, ownership, and tracking exceptions through approval, expiry, and renewal.
  • Work with Legal to support the regulatory inventory and obligations register and track regulatory-change implementation, including owners, milestones, and evidence of completion.
  • Own issue management and remediation by tracking issues, remediation items, and commitments to closure, including owners, severity, timelines, dependencies, decisions, closure evidence, and escalations; report aging, overdue items, and root-cause trends.
  • Run program governance for defined initiatives, preparing materials, status updates, metrics, dashboards, RAID logs, decision registers, and other artifacts; support forums such as the Executive Risk Committee and First-Line Compliance Champion Committee.
  • Design and operate the standardized Enterprise Compliance Office intake, triage, and routing workflow, including enterprise escalation criteria, and use intake data on volume, cycle time, SLA performance, handoffs, and rework drivers to inform prioritization, capacity, and resourcing planning.
  • Lead the use of AI-assisted tools for analysis, monitoring, and reporting, and establish controls to flag tool-output errors, anomalies, or inconsistencies before reliance.
  • Support audit and regulatory readiness by compiling the compliance evidence pack, control narratives, and known-issues and remediation tracker, and serve as the day-to-day compliance contact for Internal Audit and external reviewers.
  • Lead implementation and operation of third-party risk management tools, processes, and platforms; oversee tracking of third-party reviews, merging and maintaining counterparty data, developing analytics and reporting, monitoring risk indicators, and driving mitigation and remediation follow-through.

Desired Qualifications

  • An advanced degree or certification such as CCEP, CRISC, CIPM, CRMA, or PMP is a plus.
  • Experience in a technology, media, or AdTech environment is preferred; high-growth or startup experience is a plus.
  • Exposure to product/advertising compliance, privacy, information governance, third-party risk management, AI governance, or compliance training is a bonus.
  • PMO experience or project/program management certification is a plus.
