Seif Elwazery appointed chairman of United Media Services. The appointment follows leadership changes at United Media Services after Tarek Nour stepped down for health reasons. Jul 12, 2026 The board of directors of United Media Services (UMS) has appointed Seif Elwazery as chairman, succeeding Tarek Nour, who stepped down after a transitional tenure for health reasons. Elwazery had been serving as the company's vice chairman and chief executive officer before assuming the role. The appointment was approved during a board meeting held in Cairo on July 11th. United Media Services also announced that Mohamed El-Saadi, who had been acting chairman pending the appointment of a permanent successor, requested to step down in order to focus on managing his own business activities. In a statement, Elwazery and the board expressed their appreciation to El-Saadi for his contribution during the transition period. The leadership changes mark the latest restructuring at one of Egypt's largest media groups, which owns and operates television channels, newspapers, digital platforms and production companies.
