Assistant Resident Engineer - Civil

Job Description

Asst Resident Engineer shall be responsible for  qualitative technical and administrative services for
implementation and management of the construction of fisheries harbour project for the overall performance of  Supervision team for the entire project.

The major tasks for the Asst Resident Engineer shall include but not limited to
the following:
1. Assist the Authority with the Review of the Contractors’ securities,
insurance and safety plans;
2. scrutiny of the Contractor’s work programme, and scheme for the
deployment of plant, equipment and machinery for approval of the
General Manager (Operations);
3. assist the Authority/ Chief Engineer (Civil) in the interpretation of
provisions in the Contract documents and technical specification;
4. assist the Authority/ Chief Engineer (Civil) in handing over the site and
issuing order to commence the works;
5. liasioning with the local authorities for shifting of utilities wherever
required;
6. Regular Supervision of works and Evolve and implement Quantity and Quality control procedures , evolve criteria for the acceptance of works;
7. prepare and issue variation orders after the approval of the Authority;
8. assist the Authority in the evaluation of Contractor’s claims;
9. verify and certify Contractor’s Interim Certificates and bills for approval of the Engineer –in – charge of the project
10 . assist the Chief Engineer (Civil) in monitoring Physical and Financial
Progress of the works;
11. prepare quarterly project budgets and estimates;
12. assist NMPT in conducting monthly progress meetings.
13. compile monthly progress reports and prepare Quarterly Reports.

14. strictly monitor the progress of work for timely completion of the
project.
15. verify and certify Contractor's Statements at completion;
16. prepare Project Completion Report;
17. time schedule and management of Team’s resources; and
18. advising the Authority / Chief Engineer (Civil) in all matter related to
the progress of works, with particular reference to delays, possible
reasons and mitigating measures.
 

Qualifications

Master/ Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) with 10 years in port sector,

He should have led the team in PMC work for not less than 3 (three ) Fishing harbor/Port Sector Projects which consists of breakwaters, berths, jetties, quays, dredging, reclamation and other civil works.

Compensation: 80000 to 90000 (INR) (MONTHLY)
