About the Job

Requirements

  • A completed technical or industrial engineering degree, for example in mechanical engineering, production engineering, or industrial engineering.
  • Several years of automotive process experience are advantageous.
  • Very good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and industrial production systems.
  • Substantial experience in production and logistics in a manufacturing environment.
  • Fluent German and English.
  • At least five years of leadership experience in a comparable role, such as a plant, production unit, or larger manufacturing area.
  • Experience leading larger teams and multi-level organizational structures.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and a strong focus on results.
  • Assertiveness, decisiveness, and a strong ability to manage change.
  • Analytical working style, communication skills, and a hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

  • Take overall responsibility for production, logistics, quality, maintenance, and personnel at the plant.
  • Ensure deliveries to customers are on time and meet cost and quality requirements.
  • Manage the budget and KPI systems, and continuously improve business results.
  • Control and optimize production processes according to automotive standards, including ISO 9001, APQP, FMEA, and PPAP.
  • Implement and develop Lean Management practices, including continuous improvement, shopfloor management, value stream analysis, 5S, SMED, and OEE.
  • Continuously improve productivity, quality, and equipment availability.
  • Manage internal and external logistics processes.
  • Optimize material flows, inventory, and throughput times.
  • Ensure a stable supply chain in modular construction.
  • Lead and develop the plant's managers and employees.
  • Create a performance-oriented, safe, and motivating work environment.
  • Plan staffing needs, qualification, and succession.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and occupational safety standards.
  • Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in audits and customer visits.
