About the Job

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • A master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related fields is preferred.
  • Experience with circuit design (digital, analog, or radio frequency), hardware engineering, hardware design, schematic capture, circuit simulation, or related fields.
  • More than one year of experience in product development, test validation, and high-volume production activities related to systems on chip in compute, data center, mobile, automotive, or Internet of Things areas.
  • Knowledge of very-large-scale integration technologies, digital design, central processing unit architecture and organization, and semiconductor processes.
  • Domain knowledge in one or more of central processing units, logic test (automatic test pattern generation), memory, static or dynamic random-access memory interfaces, high-speed serial/deserial links, or sensor validation and its corresponding test methodologies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor analog and mixed-signal circuits such as analog-to-digital converters, digital-to-analog converters, phase-locked loops, low-dropout regulators, low-noise amplifiers, mixers, and power amplifiers, including their performance measurements.
  • Experience handling measurement test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, time interval analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, automated test equipment, and Rohde & Schwarz equipment.
  • Experience with Python, C++, Java, assembly, or embedded software.
  • Knowledge of design-for-test techniques and structural tests such as scan/automatic test pattern generation, Joint Test Action Group, and memory built-in self-test is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis software such as JMP, National Instruments, or Exensio is a plus.
  • Experience with automated test equipment from Advantest or Teradyne is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ARM, Arduino, or microcontroller architecture.
  • Experience using schematic capture and circuit simulation software for at least two years.

Responsibilities

  • Operate automated test equipment to validate and debug new product functionality.
  • Develop test hardware and software.
  • Characterize products across corner conditions.
  • Release cost-effective production test solutions for mass manufacturing.
  • Work closely with integrated circuit design, software, systems, and operations engineering to enable high-volume product manufacturability.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with circuit design, hardware engineering, hardware design, schematic capture, circuit simulation, or related fields.

About the Company

Qualcomm

Designs mobile chips and licenses wireless patents

Qualcomm designs the Snapdragon processors and modems inside many Android phones, and it licenses its wireless patents to device makers around the world. It helped commercialize CDMA, the cellular technology behind 3G networks, and its patents cover core parts of the 4G and 5G standards that phones use to connect. The company does not run its own chip factories; contract foundries make its chips, which it sells to makers of phones, PCs, cars, and connected devices. Device makers also pay Qualcomm royalties for using its patented technology, which forms a second business alongside chip sales. Qualcomm was founded in 1985 and is based in San Diego, California.
