It earns money selling its own products and those of other manufacturers, together with supply chain services. Medline was founded in 1966 and is based in Northfield, Illinois.

Medline hosts fourth annual MedTrans Rodeo in Mundelein, Ill. Oct 23, 2026, 15:14 ET Drivers representing each region represent Medline's commitment to making healthcare run better NORTHFIELD, Ill., Oct. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Medline's private fleet of truck drivers, MedTrans, recently completed its fourth annual National Truck Rodeo, which celebrates the drivers' commitment to safety and technical abilities. The company's fleet of more than 2,100 MedTrans drivers plays an important role in its ability to provide next-day delivery to 95% of its U.S. customers. "Medline's team of drivers are the backbone of serving our customers, serving as a friendly face and committed supplier," said Jeff Brennan, vice president of transportation for Medline. "Our drivers deliver critical medical supplies to customers no matter the day, weather or other challenges they may face." At the rodeo, Brennan highlighted the event's role in strengthening MedTrans' culture. "The National Truck Rodeo gives us an opportunity to recognize the skill and commitment to safety our drivers demonstrate every day," Brennan said. "It also brings our teams together through friendly competition, shared learning and a continued focus on improving how we serve our customers." Earlier this year, Medline set the stage by hosting regional rodeos for its drivers and their families at Medline facilities across the nation. These regional events follow more local events held earlier in the year at the company's 45 U.S. distribution centers. The first-prize winner this year in each of three categories at the regional levels received an award for $1,500 and had the opportunity to compete at the MedTrans National Truck Rodeo. There, the regional winners competed for a share of $15,000 in prize money and provided inspiration to the company's more than 2,100 drivers. Brennan said Medline's continued investment in the National Truck Rodeo reflects the company's commitment to recognizing its drivers and strengthening a culture of safety, engagement and continuous improvement. It also reinforces the essential role MedTrans drivers play in delivering reliable service and helping Medline make healthcare run better across the country. National Class A Truck Winners: First Prize ($2,500): Gerald Britt, from Olive Branch, Miss., brought more than 38 years of professional driving experience to this year's rodeo. "Words cannot fully describe what winning meant to me," Britt said. "After 38 years on the road, it was an unforgettable accomplishment and a proud way to represent the best company I have ever worked for." This was Britt's second time competing in the MedTrans Rodeo. Second Prize ($1,500): Jose Ortiz, from Modesto, Calif., has more than 30 years of driving experience and has spent the last eight with MedTrans. Ortiz, who said the win will make his family proud, added, "This win was for our team, and it meant a lot to show the driving skills I have developed over 30 years. I was proud to represent my branch and share that accomplishment with the people who matter most to me." Third Prize ($1,000): Harold Thornton, from Richmond, Va., has spent the last three years with MedTrans. "Winning was rewarding both personally and professionally," Thornton said. "It was a proud moment after six years as a professional driver and a chance to represent the coworkers and company I enjoy driving for." This was Thornton's second time competing in the rodeo. National Class B Truck Winners: First Prize ($2,500): Timothy Fuller, from Attleboro, Mass., competing in the rodeo for the second time, has been with MedTrans for nearly eight years and has driven professionally since the early 1990s. "Winning affirmed the value of the excellent training we received from leadership and showed what that preparation made possible," Fuller said. "It was a rewarding team achievement that reflected the support of our office staff, fellow drivers and family-oriented workplace." Second Prize ($1,500): Hector Mares, from Denver, thanked his team for their support and commitment after competing in his third MedTrans Rodeo. "This win is for the Denver drivers and their commitment to safety and excellence," Mares said. "It was also a fun way to represent a team that works together every day to get the job done." Third Prize ($1,000): Phillip Alongi, of Kansas City, Mo., has spent the last six years with Medline and said he was honored to compete for the second time against the very best in the business. "Being recognized for safety is incredibly rewarding, especially when you're competing alongside so many talented drivers who set a high standard every day," Alongi said. It represents the experience I had gained over 11 years on the road and the strong culture of safety valued at Medline." National Parcel Truck Winners: First Prize ($2,500): Roy Aguilar, from Gresham, Ore., is just 10 months into his MedTrans career and already making waves on the national stage. Aguilar, who loves to admire the beauty of the road, said, "Winning showed me that I have the potential to keep growing as a driver and pursue my Class-A license. My career is still beginning, and this experience gave me confidence that I was on the right path and ready for the next challenge." Second Prize ($1,500): Randall Lloyd, a parcel driver from Graham, N.C., brings 37 years of driving experience and a commitment to making healthcare run better. "After 37 years as a professional driver, winning meant being recognized as one of the company's best and safest drivers," Lloyd said. Third Prize ($1,000): Robert Hoefer, from Mayview, Mo., has spent the last four years of his 17-year driving career with MedTrans. "After 17 years as a professional driver, this win was a fun reward and a memorable accomplishment to carry into our next adventure," Hoefer said. Oct 12, 2026, 16:25 ET Combines real-time inventory tracking with PointClickCare(R) integration to reduce manual work and improve supply visibility NORTHFIELD, Ill., Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Medline (Nasdaq: MDLN) today announced the launch of an enhanced version of TrackPoint(TM), its online inventory management and patient item usage solution designed to help long-term care and inpatient hospice providers more easily track supplies from Medline, capture patient-level usage and gain visibility into inventory across locations. TrackPoint provides an easy-to-use solution that helps facilities streamline how they order and manage supplies purchased from Medline. The platform gives providers greater control over supply management by automating manual workflows and enabling more accurate tracking of what is on hand, where products are used and when replenishment is needed. "Everything is very manual. We saw an opportunity to provide a more streamlined, modernized application for them." TrackPoint integrates with PointClickCare(R) for real-time patient data synching and helps providers improve inventory efficiency through several core capabilities: * Real-time Medline inventory visibility to understand what is on hand, where it is located, and what needs to be restocked. * Patient item and service usage tracking to support more accurate documentation and data needed for proactive care and operational efficiency. * Standardized workflows to create consistent processes for receiving, dispensing and tracking supplies and services. * Reduced manual work and errors through digital processes and barcode scanning. * Simplified purchasing through Medline.com to streamline ordering and reduce duplicate data entry. * Accurate multi-location inventory to manage multiple facilities for better counts and replenishment to align supply spend with patient needs and services delivered. "Our goal is to make inventory management easier and more actionable for long-term care and inpatient hospice providers," said Renee Fisher, senior vice president, national field sales, post-acute care, Medline.
