Anheuser-Busch invests $23 million in Fort Collins Brewery. September 21, 2026 Brewery expansion will increase Michelob ULTRA production, rail capacity and workforce training. FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Anheuser-Busch is investing $23 million in its Fort Collins brewery, expanding production capacity and establishing a new technical training center for employees at the longtime Northern Colorado manufacturing facility. The company announced the investment Sept. 21, saying the improvements will help the brewery increase production of Michelob ULTRA and add the capability to produce 25-ounce cans. The project will also expand rail capacity at the facility, strengthening transportation operations and distribution. The Fort Collins brewery has operated since 1988 and produces more than 48 brands, including Michelob ULTRA, Busch Light, Budweiser and Bud Light. Anheuser-Busch said it has invested $93 million in its Fort Collins facilities since 2021. "Our investment in the Fort Collins Brewery strengthens our ability to brew and deliver the world-class beers consumers know and love, including Michelob ULTRA," Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth said. "As a proud American manufacturer, investments at this scale help fuel economic growth, create and sustain high-quality jobs, and reinforce our long-term commitment to the communities where we live and work." Training center planned. Part of the investment will establish a technical skills training center inside the Fort Collins brewery. It will be one of 15 such centers Anheuser-Busch plans to open around the country. The center will provide training for operators and technicians working with electrical and mechanical systems used in brewery equipment. Anheuser-Busch said its broader goal is to provide additional skills training to more than 90% of its manufacturing workforce during the next five years. Colorado State Rep. Andrew Boesenecker, D-Larimer, said the investment demonstrates continued confidence in the Northern Colorado workforce. "This facility has been a backbone of Fort Collins' economy for 38 years, providing hundreds of quality manufacturing jobs and strengthening our local tax base," Boesenecker said. The Fort Collins investment is part of Anheuser-Busch's broader $600 million commitment to its U.S. operations during 2025 and 2026 through the company's Brewing Futures initiative. The program focuses on manufacturing facilities, workforce development and career opportunities. The Fort Collins brewery also serves another role during emergencies. Along with the company's Cartersville, Georgia, brewery, the facility produces canned emergency drinking water for communities affected by disasters. Anheuser-Busch says it has produced more than 100 million cans of emergency drinking water since the program began in 1988. Lemp Mansion in St. Louis hits the market. A piece of iconic St. Louis history is up for sale. The longtime owners of the Lemp Mansion are ready to hand off the Victorian landmark, which was home to one of St. Louis' beer baron families in the 19th century. The mansion, at 3322 DeMenil Place, is listed at $3.9 million, and the Lemp Stables are listed at $2.7 million. Those prices include the restaurant and event venue businesses, according to Fusion Business Brokers' Brian Besse, who is marketing the property along with Kim Wright. People are also reading... The mansion was bought by William J. Lemp, who grew the Lemp Brewery into a brewing giant that outpaced competing foe Anheuser-Busch at the time. Prohibition and a series of tragic Lemp family deaths, including three prominent suicides, ultimately led to the demise of the business. The mansion was turned into a boarding house before the Pointer family bought the property, off Interstate 55 in Benton Park, in 1975. The Pointers opened a restaurant and inn at the mansion, and host a variety of events, including weddings and mystery dinners. Its ghost tours have made it a popular destination for Halloween. Besse said the ideal buyer would be someone who would carry on what the Pointer family has built over the past 50 years. The venue will remain open with events scheduled through Dec. 31, 2027, he added. Photos: historic Lemp Mansion in St. Louis. Get the latest local business news delivered FREE to your inbox weekly. Pabst Blue Ribbon offers $20,000 reward to recover 40,000 lbs. of stolen beer in California. Published September 2, 2026 12:53 PM PDT A truck carrying an estimated 40,000 pounds of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer - equivalent to more than 50,000 cans - was stolen in Montclair in what may be the largest beer heist ever recorded. The brief. * * Pabst Brewing Co. is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of 1,602 cases of missing beer stolen from a Southern California warehouse. * The August 17 cargo heist involved two separate fraudulent pickups at an Anheuser-Busch distribution center, resulting in 40,000 pounds of missing product worth $70,000. * Company executives set a Sept. 9 deadline for the return of the shipment, while Montclair police continue investigating whether the twin incidents are linked. SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. - Pabst Brewing Co. has issued a $20,000 reward in hopes of recovering 40,000 pounds of stolen beer following a sophisticated double cargo heist in Southern California. What LASD Retired know: Pabst Brewing Co. CEO Greig DeBow announced Wednesday that the company will pay up to $20,000 to anyone providing new information that leads to the recovery of 1,602 missing cases of Pabst Blue Ribbon and non-alcoholic Old Milwaukee beer. The theft took place on Aug. 17 at an Anheuser-Busch distribution center on Brooks Street in Montclair, located about 40 miles east of Los Angeles. Montclair police confirmed that the total stolen inventory, weighing approximately 40,000 pounds, carries an estimated value of $70,000. PREVIOUS COVERAGE: The heist unfolded in two distinct stages on the same morning. According to police, around 10 a.m., an initial shipment valued at roughly $45,000 and bound for Tucson, Arizona, was picked up for delivery but failed to reach its destination. About an hour later, a second load valued at $25,000 was acquired when a purported subcontracting company submitted fraudulent documentation to organize a pickup. Food and beverage cargo thefts have seen a notable rise, with recent high-profile incidents including stolen New England seafood shipments and over 400,000 KitKat bars taken in transit between Italy and Poland. What LASD Retired don't know: It's unconfirmed whether the two thefts at the Montclair distribution center were carried out by the same perpetrators or organized as part of a single coordinated operation. Details regarding the identities of the suspects, the current location of the stolen commercial truck, and the status of the cargo remain unknown. Authorities have not publicly identified any suspect vehicles or leads, and it's unclear if the missing inventory remains intact or has already been illegally resold. What they're saying: Pabst executives publicly addressed the situation across social media channels, striking a firm tone while urging the public for assistance. "I'm sure they look cool with a garage full of PBR," Pabst Brewing Co. CEO Greig DeBow stated in a video post on TikTok. "That's actually not cool though. We want it back." In an earlier Instagram statement, the company addressed the perpetrator directly while opening a limited window for the return of the goods. "To the thief: we don't fault you for wanting to brag to your friends how much PBR you have, we just wish you obtained it the honorable way," the post read. The company added, "Pabst is officially starting the clock now - you have exactly 18 days and 44 minutes to return our truck, no questions asked. Leading up to that time, we will be offering a reward to anyone who can help us solve this mystery. P.s. this is real and we are deadly serious." Montclair Police Department investigators noted that information provided regarding the trucking company, driver, and vehicles involved contained significant discrepancies that are currently under active review by detectives. What's next: Pabst Brewing Co. has established a strict deadline of Sept. 9 for the missing inventory and delivery truck to be safely returned. What you can do: Pabst urges members of the public who possess information regarding the missing shipment to contact company representatives directly via email at [email protected] or through their official social media platforms. Anyone who spots the missing commercial truck on the road is encouraged to take a photo and tag the company immediately. Individuals with direct law enforcement leads regarding the suspect drivers, freight companies, or missing cargo should contact the Montclair Police Department at 909-621-4771. This story was reported from Los Angeles. CEO Greig DeBow and the company's official communications team.
