- A Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is required.
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is required; Nurse Practitioners must have acute care certification.
- An active New Jersey license is required.
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Basic Life Support certification, plus Controlled Dangerous Substances and Drug Enforcement Administration credentials, are required.
- Availability for full-time scheduling consisting of three 12-hour night shifts, with weekend and holiday rotation, is required.
- Assume responsibility as the Advanced Practice Provider and provide quality care to surgery patients across the continuum in collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the care team.
- Function as a clinician, educator, and researcher in outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Serve as a significant member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
