Requirements
  • Experience operating computer numerical control press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Understanding of tooling, bend allowances, and metal characteristics.
  • Ability to perform accurate measurements and basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, use hands to handle objects or controls, reach with the hands and arms, and regularly stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment and wear required personal protective equipment such as eye protection.
Responsibilities
  • Set up, program, and operate computer numerical control press brake machinery to bend and form metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine appropriate machine settings and fabrication methods.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling for each job, ensuring accuracy during setup and changeovers.
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, protractors, tape measures, and squares to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.
  • Make minor machine adjustments and troubleshoot basic mechanical or programming issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety standards.
  • Document production data and maintain accurate records of completed work.
