Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Aptean completed Logility on April 4, 2025, adding AI-first planning credibility.
  • OpsVeda joined in January 2026, strengthening real-time orchestration across fulfillment and logistics.
  • Germanedge joined by March 2026, expanding Aptean's industrial software and DACH footprint.

What critics are saying

  • A rumored April 13, 2026 layoff of 1,600 workers signals heavy integration strain.
  • Germanedge's 2025 acquisition still depended on approvals, exposing cross-border deal friction.
  • Vista-style roll-up dependence risks existential platform sprawl if acquisitions stop delivering.

What makes Aptean unique

  • Aptean bundles ERP, WMS, MES, and PLM for niche manufacturers and distributors.
  • Its 2026 AppCentral agents run on-premises Business Central without cloud migration.
  • Logility, OpsVeda, and Germanedge deepen supply-chain execution beyond legacy ERP.
