About the job
- At least 5 years of experience in business-to-business technology sales, including at least 2 years closing full sales cycles as an Account Executive.
- Experience selling to technical buyers in data, infrastructure, or developer tools.
- A track record of building personal pipeline and closing self-sourced opportunities.
- Ability to track business activity in Salesforce so sales engineers, management, and engineering can support deal closure.
- Must be based in the United States.
- Own the sales cycle from qualified introduction through signed deal.
- Focus on mid-market and enterprise accounts in the assigned region.
- Collaborate with sales development representatives and the go-to-market team on strategic account plans.
- Represent Soda at key events, executive meetings, and customer sessions.
- Work alongside the Chief Revenue Officer and technical team to close deals.
- Build relationships with engineering, data, and platform teams.
- Background in data infrastructure, observability, or data quality tools.
- Experience selling to technical buyers and/or in data management.
- Previous success in high-growth startups.
- Experience in a quota-carrying role at a fast-growing, venture-capital-backed, open-source startup with global traction.
