DailyPay, the on-demand pay provider, has completed a $200 million asset-backed securitisation of its receivables. This marks the company's second such transaction, following a $200 million securitisation in June 2025. The New York-based firm now has approximately $1.4 billion in debt financing backed by its on-demand pay receivables, including a $960 million secured credit facility. DailyPay is the only on-demand pay provider to access the asset-backed securitisation market. The company serves more than 2,000 employers and over 6 million employees. Its platform allows workers to access wages they have already earned before payday, with DailyPay funding the transfers without affecting employer cash flow. Citi acted as lead bookrunner and structuring agent for the transaction.

The round was led by existing investor Citi and included new strategic investors Bank of America, Nomura, and Tradeweb Markets. Existing investors Barclays, BNP Paribas, J.P. Morgan, State Street, and UBS also participated. Founder and CEO Gil Mandelzis said most funds will support Capitolis' recent acquisition of eSecLending, which expands the company into securities lending. Coinbase Global and Citi have launched new features linking the bank's payment systems with Coinbase's stablecoin infrastructure. Citi's Virtual Account Wallet for Coinbase will automatically convert client fiat balances into stablecoins and convert incoming stablecoins back into fiat. Merchants using Citi's Spring platform can now accept stablecoin payments whilst keeping settlement within Citi's regulated banking system. The partnership supports Coinbase's strategy to reduce reliance on trading fees by expanding subscription and service revenue, including payments infrastructure and custody services. The rollout targets US merchants and enterprises. Adoption rates, active user numbers, and processed transaction volumes will indicate the partnership's success. The move aligns with Coinbase positioning itself as an institutional gateway as payments shift onto blockchain infrastructure.
Citi and Coinbase have expanded their partnership to bridge traditional banking and digital payments. The collaboration introduces two initiatives: Coinbase Virtual Accounts, which uses Citi's Banking-as-a-Service infrastructure to provide bank-account-like functionality with automatic fiat-to-stablecoin conversion, and merchant stablecoin acceptance through Citi's Spring platform, powered by Coinbase Payments. The solutions allow businesses to operate between traditional and digital finance without building separate infrastructure. Merchants can accept payments from over 150 million stablecoin holders globally, with automatic conversion to fiat. Citi serves as the bank of record for settlements. Launching initially in the United States, the partnership aims to enable interoperability between fiat and digital payments. Citi moves approximately $6 trillion daily and banks 90% of top e-commerce companies and 15 of the world's 20 largest fintechs.
