About the job

Requirements
  • At least 10 years of progressive software architecture and engineering experience in enterprise, distributed systems, or financial technology environments.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience architecting and deploying production LLM-powered applications, multi-agent systems, and autonomous agentic workflows, such as LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or Agent Development Kit (ADK).
  • Mastery of Python and/or Golang, OpenShift/Kubernetes, distributed microservices, OAuth2/JWT token delegation, API gateway management, and enterprise telemetry such as OpenTelemetry and Splunk.
  • Deep understanding of financial services compliance, Model Risk Management standards, and deterministic validation methodologies for non-deterministic AI outputs.
  • Demonstrated leadership and a track record of chairing technical governance bodies and influencing enterprise-level architectural direction.
  • Bachelor’s/university degree or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the chief technical authority for autonomous systems, multi-agent frameworks, and hierarchical sub-agent architectures across Citi’s global technology footprint.
  • Author and maintain enterprise reference architectures and blueprints for single-agent, hierarchical sub-agent, and Human-in-the-Loop workflows, ensuring strict adherence across all delivery pods.
  • Act as the primary technical bridge in the Product/Platform Feedback Loop with the Arc Core, R2D2 Gateway, and Agentflow platform teams, translating field friction from line-of-business deployments into core platform features.
  • Chair the Agent Architecture Review Board to conduct mandatory technical, architectural, and security reviews for all high-risk AI agents prior to user acceptance testing and production promotion.
  • Define enterprise standards for Model Context Protocol server integration, zero-trust boundary enforcement via Tiramisu proxies, and COIN machine-to-machine identity token delegation.
  • Establish horizontal governance, code quality, testability, and automated evaluation standards across all Forward Deployed Engineering pods.
  • Advise senior business and technology leadership on emerging AI paradigms, non-deterministic system validation, and foundation model capabilities.
  • Assess risk in business decisions, protect the firm’s reputation and safeguard the company, its clients, and assets; drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; adhere to policy and sound ethical judgment; and transparently escalate, manage, and report control issues.
  • Effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain required standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related technical field is strongly preferred.
  • Clear, concise, and persuasive executive-level written and verbal communication.

Citi's Sieg still backs private credit as BDC withdrawals hit 13% and wealth inflows reach $38B

Citi still recommends private credit to clients, said Andy Sieg, head of its wealth management unit, despite strain in the market. He told CNBC the bank treats private credit and private equity as long-term building blocks, not trades. Withdrawal requests at non-traded private credit funds run well above their typical 5% quarterly caps. At 11 of the 14 largest non-traded business development companies, requests averaged 13.0% in the third quarter, down from 13.9% in the second. Citi's wealth revenue rose 15% in the third quarter, its tenth straight quarter of growth. A record $38 billion in net new investment assets flowed in, mostly from existing clients. The International Monetary Fund has warned that private credit could amplify market stress.

Blackstone unveils $63B Broadcom financing deal with BofA, Citi and Morgan Stanley

Blackstone has announced a $63 billion financing deal with Broadcom and a group of banks that includes Bank of America, Citi, and Morgan Stanley. Its shares edged higher on the day, trading at $119.06. The asset manager has a market value near $136.61 billion. Fifty of 93 analysts rate the stock a buy, with a median price target of $138, about 15.9% above the current level. Shares sit at support around $118.74 and trade below their 50-day and 200-day moving averages. A close above $125.04 would signal buyers are following through, while a drop below $118.74 would suggest the move is fading.

Citi offers up to 4.35% savings yield to win share of customers' $3T held elsewhere

Citi is offering higher savings rates to draw more of its customers' money to the bank. The $2.6 trillion-asset lender says clients hold about $3 trillion in assets elsewhere. Citigold private clients will get a 4.35% annual percentage yield, Citigold customers 4%, and Citi Priority clients 3.5%. Customers also need a checking account and a certain direct deposit amount, or an average balance in investment accounts. The tiers range from $30,000 to $1 million-plus in combined average monthly balance. "This is a disruptor to stop money in motion," said Kate Luft, head of retail banking. In the third quarter, Citi's wealth unit logged $38 billion in net new investment assets. Citigold and retail bank revenues rose 16%, to about $2.3 billion.

Citigroup returns 24.7% in a year as $30B buyback and margin gains test bull and bear views

Citigroup shares returned 24.7% over the past year, including dividends, after the bank reported record revenue, earnings ahead of forecasts, and a $30 billion buyback plan. The stock now trades at $121, up from $96.69 at the start of the period. Revenue rose from $19,836 million in Q3 2025 to $21,423 million in Q3 2026. Net income climbed from $3,439 million to $4,840 million, lifting net margin from 17.3% to 22.6%. Simply Wall St's bullish case puts fair value at $103, built on 6.9% revenue growth and a 19.3% margin from digital transformation and cross-border payments. The cautious case sets it at $77, citing heavy spending and regulatory pressure. The key test is whether Citigroup can turn services growth and AI-driven efficiency into durable double-digit returns on tangible common equity.
