Requirements
  • The candidate must have completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-accredited cardiovascular disease fellowship in general cardiology.
  • The candidate must be board certified or board eligible in cardiovascular disease.
  • The candidate must have documented Level II competency, as defined by Core Cardiology Training Symposium guidelines, in at least one primary imaging area such as echocardiography.
  • The candidate must be eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin.
Responsibilities
  • The fellow will gain advanced echocardiographic experience, including intra-procedural transesophageal echocardiography for structural heart cases such as left atrial appendage occlusion, mitral and tricuspid transcatheter edge-to-edge repair, transcatheter tricuspid and mitral valve replacement, and patent foramen ovale, atrial septal defect, and ventricular septal defect closure.
  • The fellow will participate in cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and may receive additional exposure to nuclear imaging and computed tomography.
  • The fellow will participate actively in cardiology fellow and resident training.
  • The fellow will participate in didactic teaching sessions with the cardiology fellowship to provide a comprehensive review of multimodality cardiac imaging.
