Responsibilities
  • Serve as the liaison between the school and the Curriculum and Instruction Department.
  • Attend all scheduled testing-related trainings offered by the Assessment Department, Student Services, Curriculum and Instruction, the State of Alaska, WIDA, or another outside entity.
  • Work with the site technician to verify student computers can access the MAP testing browser and report issues to Information Technology.
  • Create MAP test sessions for students at the building at least one day before testing and resolve roster discrepancies with the designated contact.
  • Verify MAP, WIDA ACCESS, and PEAKS student accommodations with counselors, special education teachers, classroom teachers, test proctors, and Student Services to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Arrange test-administrator and proctor training and verify staff accounts and access to the NWEA testing site.
  • Coordinate with teachers and building administrators to ensure students receive the appropriate assessments and complete testing within the assigned windows, and submit schedules.
  • Ensure teachers administering AIMSweb benchmarking probes have access to the online system and report missing teachers or students.
  • Verify WIDA test administrators have signed level 4 test security agreements and that proctors have completed the required WIDA online modules; coordinate certificates with the designated contact.
  • Coordinate WIDA ACCESS student identification and scheduling with the Curriculum Department and ensure all English-language learners are tested.
  • Assist with ordering WIDA ACCESS materials, verify the student testing list, receive materials, and secure and track their distribution to authorized staff.
  • Work with the building principal to provide the NAEP government representative with required information and ensure staff complete federal paperwork.
  • Verify PEAKS test security agreements, INSIGHT client installation and configuration, student rostering, test tickets, scratch paper, headphones, testing-room materials, administrator guides, accommodations, seating arrangements, homeschool-student testing plans, and disruptive-student plans.
  • Broadcast PEAKS testing dates by very-high-frequency radio.
  • During PEAKS testing, ensure teacher electronics are secured and unused, post testing signs, report and document security or ethics breaches, and document special circumstances on irregularity reports.
  • Create a post-test plan with staff for students who finish testing.
  • After PEAKS testing, collect and submit irregularity reports, document parent refusals, collect and securely shred used test tickets and scratch paper.
  • Ensure secure testing materials are stored, signed in and out, tracked, and destroyed according to assessment procedures.
