Requirements
  • Able to complete phlebotomy and electrocardiogram training within 90 days of hire if those subjects were not included in the Patient Care Technician certification course; the training will be provided by the organization.
  • Successful completion of Patient Care Technician training and an active Patient Care Technician Certification.
  • CPCT-A certification is required.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Support the overall plan of care.
  • Communicate directly with and support the healthcare team, patients, and their families or significant others.
  • Maintain high standards of professional ethics.
  • Contribute to the delivery of quality patient care within the organization.
